Pertinent Patriotism Well Played in Ocean State Theatre’s ‘1776’

I will confess, I am a history buff, so I knew I would enjoy Ocean State Theatre’s production of 1776 The Musical. However, from the opening song, “Sit down John”, to the last signature on the Declaration of Independence, I was thrilled with how absolutely wonderful it was.

Ocean State Theatre Company’s latest ensemble will tell the story of John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Richard Henry Lee and Thomas Jefferson as they attempt to convince the members of the second Continental Congress to vote for independence by signing the Declaration of Independence.
