Summer BLAST Kids Clean Up Oakland Beach

Warwick, RI – The Warwick Boys & Girls Clubs‘ new Bringing Learning And Service Together (BLAST) program isn’t only curbing summer learning loss, it’s also cleaned up Oakland Beach.

Fourteen boys & girls enrolled in this summer’s program aimed at bolstering 4th-6th graders literacy and math skills, according to Karin Kavanagh, Associate Executive Director for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Warwick.

Recently, she said, they pitched in for a cleanup at Oakland Beach, collecting five bags of trash.
