Slocum Realty Opens New Centerville Road Office

WARWICK, RI — It’s been months in the making, and on Tuesday, Slocum Realty’s new office was officially opened for business, with Mayor Scott Avedisian leading a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening at the  333 Centerville Road location.

Slocum Realty & Slocum Insurance is a full service independent real estate and insurance brokerage firm.  Slocum Realty offers free buyer representation and a day-to-day listing agreement for its sellers. The firm has been providing professional insurance services to thousands of clients since 1949.

For the past year, the agency has been based at its old office at 1232 Greenwich Ave., while many of its agents operated out of space rented on the second floor of the Central RI Chamber of Commerce Building on Post Road.

The Greenwich Avenue location had been the firm’s home for more than 40 years. “As we love to say, you know, we really grew out of that place about 10 years ago. We just forgot to leave,” said Phil Slocum during the opening.

Slocum noted there are now 25 agents working for the firm.

“We love you all. You guys are amazing,” he said.
