COVENTRY, RI — Coventry arrests and other Kent County arrests in the RI Trooper Log Sept. 2 – 5 involved charges for reckless driving, Adderall and prohbited firearms possession, and DUI.

Coventry Arrests & Kent County Arrests Sept. 2 – 5
Giving alcohol to minors At 9:30 p.m. Sept. 4, Troopers arrested John Lafond Sr., 63, of 81 Brookside Avenue, Apartment 9A, West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Furnishing/Procuring Alcohol for Minors, and 2.) Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.
This arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation by Troopers N. Palumbo and Goodridge, and the party being located at his residence. Lafond was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future court date.
Rte. 95 stop, missed court At 2:48 p.m. Sept. 4, troopers arrested Angel Pascual, 28, of 75 Village Road, Apt. #2, Woonsocket, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving with Suspended/Revoked/Canceled License 4th and Subsequent Offense, and 2.) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-trial Conference on the charge of Driving with Suspended/Revoked/Canceled License, originating out of the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. The subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, then transported to the Adult Correctional Institution—Men’s Intake Center.
Felony Assault At 6:04 p.m., troopers arrested David Nadeau, 60, of 72 Gough Ave/, Apt. #27, West Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant originating out of the Wickford Barracks for the charges of 1.) Felony Assault and/or Battery (Two Counts), 2.) Disorderly Conduct (Fighting/Tumultuous Behavior), 3.) Vandalism/Malicious Injury to Property, and 4.) Failure to Stop for Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle.
This arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation and troopers responding to the West Warwick Police Department where Nadeau was in custody. Nadeau was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.
DUI arrest, WW stop On Thursday, Sept. 5 at 9:50 p.m., troopers arrested Diana Torres, 34, of 4 Bishop St., West Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor – BAC Unknown – First Offense, 2.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs – Child Passenger under 13 – First Offense, 3.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs – Child Passenger under 13 – First Offense, and 4.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Providence Street, in the Town of West Warwick. Torres was transported to the State Police – Hope Valley Barracks, where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.
Coventry arrests: Wanted for shoplifting On Friday, Sept. 6, at 10:25 a.m., troopers arrested Eric Martin, 46, of 1580 West Shore Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the charge of Shoplifting originating out of the Coventry Police Department.
This arrest was the result of Troopers responding to the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal. The subject was transported to the State Police – Scituate Barracks, where he was processed and later turned over to the Coventry Police Department.
Obstruction, missed court on domestic assault charge At 5:07 p.m. Sept. 6, troopers arrested Edwin Blanco Cruz, 20, 101 Althea Street Apartment #1, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Obstructing a Police Officer in the Execution of Duty, 2.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation on the original charge of Domestic Simple Assault originating out of the Cranston Police Department and 3.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation on the original charge of Obstruction originating out of the Coventry Police Department, one of several Kent County and Coventry arrests.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation. Mr. Blanco Cruz was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barrack where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
Rte. 95 EG stop, vandalism warrant At 3:17 p.m. Sept. 8, troopers arrested Ebony Carson Hamilton, 30, of 137 Eldridge Court, Cranston, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Vandalism originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department.
This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the Town of East Greenwich. Ms. Carson Hamilton was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Pawtucket Police Department.
