RIDOT Closing I-95 North in Exeter Friday -Sunday (Detour Map)
[CREDIT: RIDOT] RIDOT will close I-95 north the weekend of Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. to replace the Teft Hill Bridge.View the full mobile-friendly .pdf of the detour map below.EXETER — If you’re planning a trip south of Rhode Island this weekend, your usual route back home as RIDOT closes I-95 North in Exeter, requiring a detour around I-95 north at exit 4 (Rte. 3), with trucks returning to the interstate at exit 5 (Rte. 102), and passenger vehicles returning at exit 6(Rte. 3).
The agency has also announced a number of traffic advisories throughout the state:
OVERNIGHT
Warwick to Pawtucket: I-95 North and South, from I-295 to the Massachusetts state line, partial lane closures in a moving operation for striping, Tuesday–Thursday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Warwick: I-95 North and South at Exit 13 (Airport Connector), alternating lane closures for bridge work, Monday and Tuesday nights from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Warwick: I-95 North and South under the Sewer Plant Service Rd., alternating lane closures for bridge work, Wednesday night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Warwick: I-95 North and South under Rte. 5 (Greenwich Ave.), alternating lane closures for bridge work, Thursday night from 7 p.m. 6 a.m. the following day.
Warwick: I-95 North and South under Rte. 37 East, alternating lane closures for bridge work, Thursday night from 7 p.m. 6 a.m. the following day.
Cranston: I-295 North, from Exit 2 (Rte. 2) to Exit 4 (Rte. 14), alternating lane and shoulder closures for a bridge inspection, Thursday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following day.
Cranston: I-95 South, from Exit 15 (Jefferson Blvd.) to Exit 16 (Rte. 10), alternating lane closures for a bridge inspection, Tuesday night from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. the following day.
Cranston: I-295 North and South, approximately one mile north and south of the Rte. 12 (Scituate Ave.) overpass, alternating lane closures in a moving operation for a bridge inspection, Tuesdayand Wednesday nights from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
Cranston/Providence: I-95 North and South, from just north of the Exit 16 interchange to the Oxford Street overpass, alternating lane closures for construction, Monday–Thursday nights from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
East Providence: I-195 East, from Exit 6 (Rte. 103) to Exit 8 (Rte. 6), and I-195 West, from the Massachusetts state line to the Pawtucket Ave. Bridge, left lane closed for drainage work, Mondayand Tuesday nights from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.
East Providence: I-195 West, from the Massachusetts state line to the Pawtucket Ave. Bridge, right lane and shoulder closures for bridge painting, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day.

Coventry/West Greenwich: I-95 North, from Exit 5 (Rte. 102) to Exit 6A (Hopkins Hill Rd.), partial left lane closure in a moving operation for maintenance, Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Providence: On the ramp from I-195 West to I-95 South, right shoulder closed for construction, Tuesday-Friday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Watch for construction vehicles exiting and entering the work zone.
West Warwick: I-295 North and South, just north and south of the Rte. 33 (Providence St.) overpass, right shoulder closures for a bridge inspection, Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
ONGOING RESTRICTIONS
Exeter/Richmond: Watch for construction vehicles exiting and entering the median area along I-95 South after Exit 5 (Rte. 102) at the Tefft Hill Trail Bridge, weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Summer 2017.
Johnston: I-295 North and South at Rte. 5 (Greenville Ave.) between Exit 6 (Rte. 6) and Exit 7 (Rte. 44), right shoulder closures for construction, through Summer 2018.
