WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests concerning Warwick Jan. 23 through Jan. 31 involved charges for DUI, larceny, hit & run, and smuggling contraband into a prison.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police arrests:

Cranston Stop, Larceny Warrant At 9:15 p.m. Jan. 23, troopers arrested Glenis Rosario, 39, of 821 Potters Ave., Apt. #1, Providence, Rhode Island, on an affidavit and arrest warrant for 1.) Fraudulent Use of Credit Cards, 2.) Conspiracy and 3.) Larceny originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street, in the City of Providence. Rosario was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Missed Court, Suspended License On Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 12 a.m., troopers arrested Brian Wilcox, 22, of 43 Montcalm Road, Warwick, on a Third Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a Pre-trial Conference on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Union Avenue, in Providence. Wilcox was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center.

Disorderly Conduct, Obstruction At 8:26 a.m. Jan. 24, troopers arrested Mark Jennings, 36 of 164 Linwood Ave., Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Resisting legal or illegal arrest, 2.) Disorderly conduct, 3.) Obstructing an officer in execution of duty.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. Jennings was processed at the Wickford Barracks and transported to Kent County Courthouse for arraignment.

Warwick Stop, Family Court Warrant At 8:33 a.m. Jan. 24, troopers arrested Christopher Desrosiers, 50, of 863 Stratford Lane, Warwick, RI on a Reciprocal Body Attachment Bench Warrant from Family Court. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Kilvert Street in Warwick.

Desrosiers was processed at the Wickford Barracks and transported to 6th District Court.

Warwick Stop, Hit & Run WarrantAt 10:25 p.m. Jan. 24, troopers arrested Briana Cabral, 22, of 25 Caroline Ave., Providence, RI on a Superior Court Full Bench Warrant on the original charge of Duty to Stop in Accident Resulting originating out of the Johnston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on New London Ave. in Warwick. Cabral was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and transported to ACI-Women’s Intake.

Warwick Stop, DUI At 3:05 p.m. Jan. 26, troopers arrested Inocencio Padilla-Padilla, 37, of 55 Alton St., Providence, RI for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs – 1st Offense, B.A.C. Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test- 2nd Offense.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick. Padilla-Padilla was processed at the State Police -Wickford, special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to a responsible adult, recorded in the RI Trooper Log.

Warwick stop, Missed Court At 1:15 a.m. Jan. 28, troopers arrested Matthew Edwards, 45, of 21 Harrington Road, Coventry, RI, for 1) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving With a Suspended License originating out of the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks and 2) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on the original charge of Driving with Suspended License originating out of the State Police Wickford Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Mr. Edwards was transported to State Police Wickford, processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution- ACI Men’s Intake.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI At 12 a.m. Jan. 28, troopers arrested Christian Lewis, 29, of 97 Worcester St., Norton, Massachusetts, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence – First Offense – B.A.C. Unknown, and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. The arrest was the result of Troopers responded to a disabled motor vehicle on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick.

Lewis was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for an evaluation and later misdemeanor released with a future Third District Court date.

Prison Contraband At 4 p.m. Jan. 28, troopers arrested Christopher Wainwright, 36, of 72 Rounds Ave., Providence, Rhode Island, on 1.) an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Smuggling Contraband into a Prison originating out of State Police – Headquarters 2.) a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on the original charge of Shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department 3.) a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on the original charge of Possession of a Scheduled Substance I-V originating out of the Cranston Police Department 4.) a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on the Original Charge of Possession of a Scheduled I-V Substance originating out of the State Police – Lincoln Woods.

The arrest was the result of Coventry Police locating Wainwright and taking him into custody. He was transported to State Police – Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center, as recorded in the RI Trooper Log.
