WARWICK, RI — Warwick arrests in the RI Trooper Log  April 19 – 28 involved charges for hit & run, DUI, burglary, and reckless driving.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police Warwick arrests:

Hit & Run On April 23, at 7:13 p.m., troopers arrested Kenneth Ditusa,  63, of 124 Custer Street, Warwick, Rhode Island, for Duty to Stop at an Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Route 95 in the City of Providence. Ditusa was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a Sixth Division District Court arraignment date.

DUI, Rte. 95 stop At 12:41 a.m. April 23, troopers arrested Melissa Ferrera, 32, of 10 Riverdale Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and or Drugs – B.A.C Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test– First Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Ms. Ferrara was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Missed court, shoplifting At 6:45 p.m. April 26, troopers arrested Doris Natal, 40, of 30 Washington St., Apartment #31, Central Falls, Rhode Island, for an active Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for a Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Shoplifting, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of Troopers investigating a motor vehicle accident on Route 95 in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake Center.

Wanted for burglary On April 26, 2024, members of the Detective Bureau arrested Paul Lemon, 30, of 25 Canfield Court, Warwick, Rhode Island, for Fugitive from Justice out of the State of Massachusetts for Unarmed Burglary. P. Lemon was arraigned in Sixth Division District Court and released to the custody of the Massachusetts State Police.

DUI, Rte. 95 stop At 1:29 a.m. April 27, troopers arrested Kenneth Drake, 56, of 10 Griswold Ave., Cranston, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C. Unknown First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95, in the City of Warwick. Drake was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Shoplifting, Suspended license At 9:57 a.m. April 27, troopers arrested Angela Wilkinson, 48, of 91 West Warwick Avenue, West Warwick, Rhode Island, on a 1) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License- Fourth Offense originating out of the Warwick Police Department, 2) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License- Fourth Offense originating out of the Warwick Police Department and 3) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant originating out of the Coventry Police Department on the original charge of Shoplifting.

The arrest was a result of Troopers responding to the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal and taking custody of the subject. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and turned over to the Coventry Police Department.

Reckless driving At 11:13 a.m. April 27, troopers arrested Malik Gomes, age 27, of 124 John St., Apartment #2, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for Reckless Driving and other Offenses against Public Safety. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 North in the City of Warwick.

Gomes was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released with a notice to appear in Third Division District Court.

Missed court, suspended license At 12:05 a.m. April 29, troopers arrested Ebby Garcia, 56, of 45 King St., Apartment 1, Providence, Rhode Island, on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License – 4th or Subsequent Offense, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks, where he was processed, and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
