Providence County Grand Jury Indictments: April 30

PROVIDENCE, RI — The following Providence County grand jury indictments have been reported in the Providence County Grand Jury for April 29, on charges ranging from child molestation and sexual assault to simple assault, robbery, and larceny.

 The defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty, according to RI Attorney General Peter Neronha.

Grand Jury Indictments

Michael Dwinnell, 33 :  P1-2024-1442A

 On April 29, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Michael Dwinnell with one count of first-degree child molestation, two counts of second-degree child molestation, and one count of simple assault and battery.

The alleged acts occurred in the Towns of North Smithfield and Woonsocket on days and dates between January 1, 2019, and March 31, 2022. The North Smithfield and Woonsocket Police Departments conducted the investigation.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on May 22, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.

 Prince Tarlue, 37, North Smithfield, RI:  P1-2024-1443ADV

 On April 29, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Prince Tarlue with two counts of first-degree domestic sexual assault and two counts of domestic simple assault.

The alleged act occurred in the Town of North Smithfield on or about October 20, 2023. The North Smithfield Police Department conducted the investigation.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on May 22, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.

 Marquise Mendes, 23 Pawtucket, RI: P1-2024-1444A

 On April 29, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Marquise Mendes with one count burglary, one count of breaking and entering of a residence whose owner is severely impaired, one count of conspiracy to commit burglary, and one count of larceny over $1,500.

The alleged acts occurred in the City of Pawtucket on or about January 24, 2023. The Pawtucket Police Department conducted the investigation.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on May 17, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.

 Darel Cabreja Martinez, 30,  Providence, RI: P1-2024-1444C

 On April 29, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Darel Cabreja Martinez with one count of possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

The alleged act occurred in the City of Pawtucket on or about January 25, 2023. The Pawtucket Police Department conducted the investigation.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on May 17, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.

 Waddys Salcedo, 21 Providence, RI: P1-2024-1445A

On April 29, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Waddys Salcedo with one count of first-degree robbery and one count of conspiracy.

The alleged act occurred in the City of Providence on or about October 31, 2023. The Providence Police Department conducted the investigation.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on May 22, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court. 

Oliver Cabrera, 20,  Providence, RI:  P1-2024-1445B

On April 29, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Oliver Cabrera with one count of first-degree robbery and one count of conspiracy.

The alleged act occurred in Providence on or about October 31, 2023. The Providence Police Department conducted the investigation.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on May 22, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.

 Jayker Pena, 19, Providence, RI: P1-2024-1445C

On April 29, 2024, the Providence County Grand Jury returned an indictment charging Jayker Pena with one count of first-degree robbery and one count of conspiracy.

The alleged act occurred in the City of Providence on or about October 31, 2023. The Providence Police Department conducted the investigation.

The defendant is scheduled to be arraigned on May 22, 2024, in Providence County Superior Court.
