RI Trooper Log: Scofflaws Fail to Show for Embezzlement, B&E, Shoplifting Charges

Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI area arrests were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

Lincoln Woods Barracks – At 2:03 p.m. Nov. 11, troopers arrested Travis Casto, 26, of 55 Fales Street Apt. 2, Central Falls, RI, for 1.) An Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Warwick Police Department for Shoplifting. 2.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on the original charge of Shoplifting originating out of the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Providence. Casto was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and later turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Scituate Barracks – At 1:21 p.m. Nov.12, troopers arrested Christine Whitehead, 38, of 11 Arlington St., East Providence, for a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear – Cost Review on an original charge of Breaking and Entering from the Warwick Police Department.

Whitehead was transported to State Police Headquarters where she was processed, then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Women’s Intake Center.

Lincoln Barracks – At 10:37 a.m. Nov. 12, troopers arrested Susan Zampi, 51, of 33 Crawford St., Cranston, for 1.) Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the East Providence Police Department, and 2.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Embezzlement under 100 dollars originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the Cranston Street, in the City of Providence. Zampi was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Woman Intake Center.
