Warwick, R.I — RI State Troopers arrested a court scofflaw who caught their attention after a car crash and also visited the homes of two men suspected of simple assault, arresting each this week in Warwick-related incidents.
Crash exposes court scofflaw to arrest On March 26, at 8:33 p.m., troopers arrested Jason A. Maynard, 24, of 124 Tanner Ave., Warwick, on a Third Division District Bench Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment, on an original charge of Driving With a Suspended License; originating out of the State Police Hope Valley Barracks.
The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to a motor vehicle accident on the Airport Connector in the City of Warwick. Maynard was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by Justice of the Peace, and released.
Troopers nab assault suspects at home  At 10:30 p.m. March 28, troopers arrested Nicholas Travassos, 20, of 103 Sand Pond Road, Warwick, on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Simple Assault out of the Hope Valley Barracks.
The arrest was the result of an investigation by troopers and subsequent residence check at 103 Sand Pond Road. Travassos was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and later released.
At 11:30 a.m. March 28, troopers arrested Mark Tomaselli, 22, of 400 Sargent St., Warwick, on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Simple Assault originating out of the Hope Valley Barracks.
The arrest was the result of an investigation by troopers and subsequent residence check at 400 Sargent St. Tomaselli was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and later released.
Cranston Driver arrested for DUI after NK crash On March 26, at 10:32 p.m., troopers arrested Dayna Manzi, 33, of 128 Hines Farm Road, Cranston for 1.) DUI – 1st Offense (BAC Unknown) and 2.) Chemical Test Refusal.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle crash investigation on Rte. 1 in North Kingstown. Manzi was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending a morning arraignment.
