WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests July 25-28  concerning Warwick involved charges of domestic assault and reckless driving, missing court on a larceny charge and carrying an unlicensed pistol.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police arrests:

Domestic assault, reckless driving At 2:05 a.m. July 27, troopers arrested Arthur Lepore, 42, of 3188 Post Road, Warwick, Rhode Island on a 1.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant issued by the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks for Domestic Violence Simple Assault, Reckless Driving/Eluding Police 1st Offense, Obstructing Officer in the Execution of Duty, Driving with Suspended License, and 2,) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant originating out of the North Providence Police Department for Reckless Driving, Obstructing Officer in the Execution of Duty, and Driving with Suspended License – 4th and Subsequent Offense.

The arrest was the result of Barracks investigation by Trooper Jamieson who located Lepore on Greenville Street in the City of Pawtucket. Lepore was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment where he will be presented as a probation violator.

Missed Court, Larceny Charge On Wednesday, July 26, the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Rocky Phelps, 40, having a last known address of 276 Main Street, Apt. 12, Marlborough, Massachusetts for the following: 1) Third District Court warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on a Vandalism charge out of Lincoln Police; 2) Third District Court Warrant – HWOB for a 46G Violation on a Larceny-Under $1,500 charge out of Warwick Police; 3) Third District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation Hearing on a Obtaining Property Under False Pretenses charge out of Coventry Police; 4) Third District Court Warrant – HWOB for Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation Hearing on a Shoplifting charge out of Warwick Police, and 5) Third District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation Hearing on a Larceny-Under $1,500 charge out of Cranston Police. Mr. Phelps was turned over to Third District Court.

Unlicensed Pistol On Friday, July 28, 2023, at 1:06 p.m., troopers arrested Xavier Wallace, 25, of 113 Kenyon Ave., Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on a Providence Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a determination of attorney hearing on the charge of Carrying a Pistol or Revolver without a License originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Rte. 95, in Pawtucket. Wallace was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and then turned over to Providence Superior Court.
