RI Trooper Log: Missed Court Dates Earn Multiple Arrests

RI Trooper Log arrests. The Rhode Island State Police are stationed in several barracks throughout Rhode Island.

Warwick, RI – This week’s Rhode Island State Police activity in and nearby Warwick involved numerous arrests on warrants for missing court dates on charges from police agencies throughout the state.

Court scofflaw arrested during traffic stop On Thursday Sept. 8, at 6:41 a.m., troopers arrested Samantha Smith, 30, of 1441 Main St., West Warwick, on a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License out of the State Police Hope Valley Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Smith was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later turned over to Third District Court.

Skipped court date leads to traffic stop arrest At 2:30 p.m. Sept. 8, troopers arrested Almer Salgado of 1144 Main Ave., Warwick, RI on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating from the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of troopers responding to the Division of Motor Vehicles for a subject in custody. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing and later turned over to Third District Court.

 

 

Warwick man with warrant taken into custody at DMV At 2:30 p.m. Sept. 8 troopers arrested Almer Salgado of 1144 Main Avenue, Warwick, RI on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating from the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to the Division of Motor Vehicles for a subject in custody. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing and later turned over to Third District Court.

Man misses court on shoplifting charge, arrested on Bald Hill Road At 10:39 a.m. Sept. 9 troopers Jackman (Phillips) and Lorenzo (arresting) arrested Christopher Lavoie, 21, of 1499 Centerville Road Apt. #2, Warwick, for a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for the Ability to Pay, on an initial charge of Shoplifting originating from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed then turned over to Third Division District Court.
