RI Trooper Log: Larceny, DUI, Check Fraud and Court Scofflaws

Warwick, RI – This week’s Rhode Island State Police activity in and nearby Warwick involved arrests stemming from traffic stops, and investigations, leading to charges for larcny, DUI, and check fraud:

Family Court Scofflaw arrested in East Greenwich On Monday, Oct. 31 at 5 p.m., troopers arrested Adam Perry, 35, of 56 Spring St., East Greenwich, RI on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Warwick Police Department for Violation of a Family Court Order.

The arrest was the result of an address check on Terrace Avenue in the Town of East Greenwich. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Troopers arrest Warwick man for check fraud On Monday, Oct. 31, at 11 p.m., troopers arrested Niel Riess, 31, of 1499 Centerville Road Apt. 6, Warwick, RI for Fraudulent Checks- Under $1,500.

The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and subsequent residence check in the City of Warwick. Riess was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment.

Post Road traffic stop ends in Cranston man’s DUI arrest On Tuesday Nov. 1, at 1:01 a.m., troopers arrested Anthony Liberatore, 24, of 18 Bank St., Cranston, RI for DUI First Offense .10-.15 (Phase I .144/ Phase II .140)

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Post Road in the City of Warwick. Liberatore was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Warwick woman arrested for failing to show as witness On Nov. 1 at 9:24 a.m., troopers arrested Juliana Pena, 22, of 4 Consolation Ave., 3rd Floor, Warwick, Rhode Island for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Witness Subpoena originating out of the Pawtucket Police Department.

The arrest was the result of troopers investigating a disabled motor vehicle. Pena was transported to the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed, then later turned over to Sixth District Court.

Warwick woman arrested on felony larceny charge On Nov. 1, members of the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Crystal Palardy, 29, of 401 Knight St., Warwick, Rhode Island, on Affidavits and Arrest Warrants for Felony Larceny and Driving without Consent of Owner obtained by the Portsmouth Police Department.

Palardy was turned over to the Portsmouth Police Department for further investigation.

Warwick man arrested for failing to show on robbery charge On Nov. 2 at 9:42 a.m., troopers arrested Brian Ledford, 35, of 7 Cedar Pond Drive, Warwick, RI for a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the initial charge of Robbery – 1st Degree originating out of the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 4 in East Greenwich. Ledford was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, and later turned over to Providence Superior Court.
