WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests Oct. 12 – Oct. 16 in and surrounding Warwick involved charges for forgery & larceny, fentanyl possession, soliciting a child and child pornography.
Here are the details of those arrests:
Forgery, larceny arrest On Oct. 12, at 11:15 a.m., Troopers arrested John Webster, 67, of 236 Pequot Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the charges of 1.) Forgery and Counterfeiting, 2.) Larceny Less Than $500.00 from a Person 65 or Older, 3.) Bank Fraud, 4.) Larceny Greater than $1,500.00, 5.) Obtaining Property by False Pretenses Over $1,500.00 originating out of the State Police Scituate Barracks and 6.) Fraudulent Access to a Computer and an active Affidavit and Arrest Warrant on the original charge of Obtaining Property by False Pretenses – Over $1,500.00 originating out of the North Kingstown Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and a subsequent residence check. Webster was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed and held overnight pending a morning arraignment at Third District Court where he will be presented as a probation violator.
Indecent solicitation of a child arrest On Oct. 13, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Jonathan Collado, 32, of 95 Concord Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island, for: Indecent Solicitation of a Child.
Collado was arraigned in Third Division District Court before the Honorable Judge Cenerini and issued $10,000.00 surety bail with special bail conditions of no contact with minors and no internet use.
Child porn arrest On Oct. 15, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Christopher Sullivan, 20, of 261 Morse Ave., Warwick, for: 1) Possession of Child Pornography; and 2) Transfer of Child Pornography. Mr. Sullivan processed at State Police Headquarters and arraigned in Third District Court. The Honorable Associate Judge Bucci set bail at $10,000 with surety and special bail conditions of restricted Internet access and no unsupervised contact with minors.
Drug possession charges, arrest On Oct. 15, members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested David A. Silva, 25, of 75 Independence Way, Building 50 / Unit 310, Cranston, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Fentanyl in Excess of 1 Kilogram; 2) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance – Fentanyl; 3) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule IV Controlled Substance – Clonazepam; 4) Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule IV Controlled Substance – Alprazolam; 5) Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance – Suboxone; and 6) Two counts of Possession of a Firearm while Committing a Controlled Substance Violation.
Silva was processed at State Police Headquarters and arraigned in Third District Court, where he was ordered held without bail.
