RI Trooper Log – Kent County:DUI, ID Theft

Editor’s note: The following RI arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests  in Kent County the week of Dec. 1 – 14  involved domestic assault, DUI, ID theft, and domestic vandalism.

These arrests were in addition to those concerning Warwick, reported here last week. Here are the basics on the additional Kent County arrests:

Violating no-contact order On Friday, Dec. 2, the ACI Investigations Unit charged Brandon M. Wolfenden, 29, of 55 West St., West Warwick, Rhode Island with Domestic Violence Prevention – Violation of a No Contact Order – 3rd or Subsequent Offense (Felony).

The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by the Department of Corrections Special Investigative Unit and the ACI Investigations Unit. Wolfenden was arraigned in Third District Court where he was held without bail.

Domestic vandalism, disorderly conduct At 11:03 p.m. Dec. 2, troopers arrested Isa Abdul Karim, 53, of 15 Boston St., Coventry, on an affidavit and arrest warrant for 1) Domestic Vandalism and 2) Domestic Disorderly, originating out of the Coventry Police Department. Arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Main Street in the Town of West Warwick. Abdul Karim was processed at the Wickford Barracks and transported to the Coventry Police Department.

DUI At 12:58 a.m. Dec. 2, troopers arrested Thomas McCallum, 42, of 495 Williams Crossing Road, Coventry, RI for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Liquor and/or Drugs B.A.C. Unknown – First Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Victory Highway in the Town of West Greenwich. Santos was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Extradition to NH, ID theft At 1:58 a.m., Dec. 2 troopers arrested Kyle Cepoudy, age 28, of 26 Circle Street, Brockton, MA 02302 for a Limited Extradition Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Identity Theft from the New Hampshire Hillsborough County Superior Court.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 north in West Greenwich. Cepoudy was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men’s Intake Center.
