Traffic stop ends with arrest for illegal knife At 9:33 a.m. July 7, troopers arrested Khadijah Muhammad-Turner, 19, of 161 Highland St., Brockton, MA for Weapons Other Than Firearms Prohibited (Knife).

RI law prohibits knives longer than three inches.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 295 North in Warwick. Muhammad-Turner was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and turned over to Third District Court.

Traffic stop nabs robbery charge court scofflaw At 11:56 p.m. July 8, troopers arrested Raymond Russo, 36, of 165 Governor St., Providence, for: 1.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing for a Technical Violation on the charge of Second Degree Robbery originating from the Warwick Police Department, 2.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear/Ability to Pay on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating from the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 2 in Warwick. Russo was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

Traffic stop nabs shoplifting charge court scofflaw At 10:06 a.m. July 9, troopers arrested Rosaura Concepcion, 22, of 191 Cranston St., Providence, on a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on the charge of Misdemeanor Shoplifting originating out of the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Concepcion was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and later turned over to Sixth District Court.

Troopers catch man wanted in MA On July 8, a member of the Major Crimes Unit arrested inmate Steven A. Costa, 25, having a last known address of 40 Arlee St., Warwick, as a Fugitive from Justice from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Costa, wanted by the Uxbridge Massachusetts District Court, was arraigned in Third Division District Court, where he waived extradition proceedings. Costa was remanded to the Adult Correctional Institutions to await MA authorities.

Trooper arrests man on non-contact violation charge On July 8, a member of the Major Crimes Unit arrested inmate Andrew J. Sanville, 24, with a last known address of 56 Powhatan St., Warwick, for Violation of a No-Contact Order (4th Offense).

Sanville appeared in Third Division District Court, where no plea was taken due to the felony charge. He was remanded to the Adult Correctional Institutions and assigned a pre-arraignment conference date.

Troopers arrest suspended license court scofflaw At 11:05 a.m. July 10, troopers arrested Lester Fuller, 59, of 772 East Ave., Warwick, RI on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in the City of Warwick. Fuller was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, then transported to Third District Court for arraignment.
