RI Trooper Log: Heroin Bust Nabs Three on Rte. 95, No-Contact Violation Breaches Parole

Warwick, RI – This week’s Rhode Island State Police activity in and nearby Warwick included traffic stops leading to arrests ranging from a suspended license to heroin possession.

Traffic stop leads to suspended license arrest On Wednesday July 27, 2016 at 12:19 a.m., troopers arrested Yomar Espada, 20 of 242 Oxford St., Providence, on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with Suspended License originating out of East Greenwich Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Espada was transported to State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Traffic stop yields three arrests on parole violation, heroin possession charges On Wednesday July 27 at 1:53 a.m., troopers arrested Sam Tene, 49, of 22 Dunnell Ave., Pawtucket, for 1. Obstructing a Police Officer in Execution of Duty 2. Driving Without/Expired License and 3. Fugitive from Justice (Pennsylvania) for Violation of Parole for Receiving Stolen Property.

Tena was transported to State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and held pending morning arraignment at Third District Court.

During the same stop, troopers arrested Stephanie Tene, 24, of 22 Dunnell Ave., Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1. Obstructing a Police Officer in Execution of Duty 2. Possession of Schedule I-`V (Heroin) and 3. 6th District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with Suspended License originating out of Pawtucket Police Department.

Tene was transported to State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held pending morning arraignment at Third District Court. During the stop troopers also arrested Michelle Tene, 25 of 22 Dunnell Avenue, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1. Obstructing a Police Officer in Execution of Duty 2. Possession of Schedule I-V (Heroin) and 3. Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Obstructing a Police Officer in Execution of Duty originating out of Pawtucket Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Michelle Tene was transported to State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and held pending morning arraignment at Third District Court.

Warwick man violates bail to break no contact order On July 26, 2016, a member of the Major Crimes Unit charged William Gilleau, 30, with a last known address of 2030 Elmwood Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island, with Violation of No Contact Order (Felony). Gilleau was presented as a Bail Violator, District Court Violator and Superior Court Violator. Gilleau was assigned a pre-arraignment conference date and remanded to the ACI.
