Warwick, RI – This week’s Rhode Island State Police activity in and nearby Warwick included three arrests, including charges of heroin possession in Cranston and a DUI charge in Providence.
Traffic stop ends in arrest for heroin possession On Saturday Aug. 13, At 12:30 p.m., troopers arrested Joseph Almonte, 33, of 2030 Elmwood Ave., Warwick, for Possession of Schedule I-V (Heroin).
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Park Avenue in Cranston. Almonte was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and arraigned before the Justice of the Peace as a probation violator. He was then transported to the Adult Correctional Institute- Men’s Intake Center.
Troopers arrest woman wanted on burglary charge At 5:49 p.m. Aug. 15, troopers arrested Denise Tilley, 37, of 113 Pender Ave., Warwick as a Fugitive of Justice on the original charge of Burglary of a Dwelling while unoccupied originating out the Port Charlotte Police Department.
The arrest was the result of the Adult Correctional Institution Intake center contacting the Lincoln Barracks about the woman. Tilley was processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institution- Women’s Intake Center.
Warwick man arrested on DUI charge in Providence At 8:27 p.m. Aug. 15, troopers arrested Sean Thibault, 34, of 368 Point Ave. Warwick, RI for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor, BAC .10-.15 Second Offense (Phase I: .109, Phase II: .107).
This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in Providence. Thibault was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.
