WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests  Sept. 6 – 23 involving Warwick included charges for missed court, failing to stop after crashes, and outstanding warrants.

Here are the basics on those arrests:

Traffic stop, missed court At 12 :02 a.m. Sept. 6, troopers arrested Kevin Erazo, 25, of 87 Penn St., Providence, RI on a Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Admiral Street, in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center.

Missed court, DMV arrest At 9:26 a.m. Sept. 20, troopers arrested Ruben Salamo, 53, of 14 Lillian Ave., Providence, Rhode Island on a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving Without License, originating out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of the subject being taken into custody at the Rhode Island Division of Motor Vehicles. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters for processing and later turned over to the Third Division District Court for arraignment.

Rte. 2 stop, DUI arrest At 12:18 a.m. Sept. 21, troopers arrested Leo Lyons, 60, of 1141 Hartford Ave., Johnston, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving while Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs – First Offense, BAC Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, and 3.) Driving without a License.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 2 in Warwick. Lyons was transported to Fatima Hospital to be evaluated and later transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court where he will be presented as a probation violator.

Coventry stop, Warwick warrant At 12:06 a.m. Sept. 22, troopers arrested Collen C. Coyne, 29, of 19 Maple St., Weymouth, Massachusetts for an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for one count of a Violation of a Court Ordered No-Contact Order originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Coventry. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later transported to the Warwick Police Department.

Lincoln stop, Warwick warrant At 3 a.m. Sept. 23, troopers arrested Kimberly Curry, 36, of 101 Kenyon Ave., Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for an active 1) Providence Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge of Shoplifting originating out of the Johnston Police Department, 2) Kent County Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for a Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge of Shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department, and 3) Providence Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for a Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge of Felony Shoplifting originating out of the Rhode Island State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Twin River Road in the Town of Lincoln. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks for processing and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake Center.

Warwick stop, DUI arrest At 11:23 p.m. Sept. 23, troopers arrested Michelle Ballou, age 44, of 13 Riverdale Ave., West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving while Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Drugs- First Offense, BAC Unknown, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Crash, duty to stop At 12:40 p.m. Sept. 23, troopers arrested Lionel Medeiros, 51, of 716 Post Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, for 1.) Duty to Stop – Accident Resulting in Damage to an Attended Vehicle, and 2.) Driving with a Suspended License (3rd or Subsequent Offense).

The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and the subject turning himself in at the Lincoln Woods Barracks. Medeiros was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

DUI, duty to stop At 11:17 p.m. Sept. 23, troopers arrested Richelle Dominique, 52, of 49 Howie Avenue, Warwick, RI for 1.) Driving Under the Influence Liquor/Drugs – 1st Offense – BAC Unknown, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test. and 3.) Duty to Stop – Damage to Attended Vehicle.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 37 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to a responsible adult.

Failing to appear, controlled substance possession charge At 11:55 p.m. Sept. 23, troopers arrested Nicholas Travassos, 27, of 103 Sand Pond Road, Apt. 2, Warwick, RI for 1.) Obstructing an Officer in Execution of Duty, 2.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Review on the original charge of Possession of Controlled Substance – Schedule I-V originating out of Warwick Police Department, and 3.) Family Court Reciprocal Body Attachment for a Non-Criminal Charge.

The arrest was the result of an investigation on Post Road in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released.
