WARWICK, RI — State Police reports in the RI Trooper Log between April 18 and April 25 involved a DUI charge, and the accidental death of a man found in the Johnston landfill.

Here are the details of those reports:

Traffic stop ends with DUI arrest At 12:06 a.m., troopers arrested Lauren Greenan, 38, of 391 Chapmans Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence, First Offense BAC.15 or Greater (Phase I: 0.166) (Phase II: 0.149).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick.

Man killed sleeping in dumpster Rhode Island State Police identified the man whose body was found at a Johnston recycling facility April 25, saying his death appears to be an unfortunate accident.

The man was identified as Roberto Vazquez, 61, of 225 Valley St., Providence. His body was discovered at approximately 10:30 a.m. at Full Cycle Recycling, 23 Green Hill Road, Johnston.

Sanzi said the investigation showed that Vazquez appeared to have sought shelter in a dumpster filled with cardboard at a fast-food restaurant in Cranston on Wednesday night.

A recycling truck arrived at the restaurant on Thursday morning to empty the dumpster. The driver did not see or hear anyone in the dumpster and was not aware there was anyone inside at the time. Mr. Vazquez’ body was discovered when the driver delivered the contents of the dumpster to the recycling facility in Johnston on Thursday morning.

Major Sanzi said there were no signs of foul play and the death does not appear to be suspicious. An autopsy has been conducted and the results are pending the outcome of toxicology tests.
