WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests March 20 – 28 in and involving Warwick spanned charges for DUI, driving without consent, and missed court hearings.
Here are the details of those arrests:
Traffic stop, missed court On March 22, at 5:27 p.m., troopers arrested Jamal Brown, 23, of 60 Spring St., Manville, Rhode Island on a Superior Court Full Bench Warrant Hold Without Bail, for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of License or Permit to Carry Concealed Pistol or Revolver originating out of the Warwick Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Atwells Avenue in the City of Providence. Brown was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
Providence stop, driving without consent On Wednesday, March 24, at 2:57 a.m., troopers arrested Laura Baumgardner, 31, of 251 River Ave., Providence, Rhode Island, on an affidavit and arrest warrant for the charge of Driving without Consent of Owner originating out of the Warwick Police Department.
This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street, in the City of Providence. Baumgardner was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and then turned over to the Warwick Police Department.
Rte. 95 stop, DUI On March 24, at 8:29 p.m., troopers from the Traffic Safety Unit arrested Matthew Guindon, 34, of 68 Chestnut Hill Ave., Cranston, Rhode Island for 1) Driving Under the Influence of an Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – B.A.C. Unknown – First Offense and 2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 North in the City of Warwick. Guindon was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed, specially arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
Traffic stop, family court warrant On March 27, at 11:47 a.m., troopers arrested Daniel Smith, 48, of 7 Fowler Ave. Apartment C, Warwick, Rhode Island on a Family Court Reciprocal Body Attachment.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to Rhode Island State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
