
WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests Jan. 26 – 30 involving Warwick included charges for DUI, an unregistered sex offender, wrong way highway driving, and a man wanted in Central Falls for disorderly conduct.
Here are the basics on those arrests:
DUI, EG stop At 4:42 p.m. Feb. 1, troopers arrested John Seaward, 35, of 179 Grandview Drive, Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – First Offense / B.A.C. Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 in the Town of East Greenwich. Mr. Seaward was transported to the Wickford Barracks, where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
Failed to register as sex offender On Feb. 1, 2022, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested John W St Germain, 58, of 76 Ogden St., Warwick, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Superior Court Full Bench Warrant – Failure To Register as Sex Offender originating out of the Cranston Police Department; and 2) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant issued by the North Smithfield Police Department for Failure To Register as Sex Offender.
St Germain was taken into custody and turned over to the North Smithfield Police Department.
Wrong way on Rte. 95, DUI At 1:13 a.m., troopers arrested Alyssa Kortschinsky, 28, of 13 Gladstone St. Apt #1, Smithfield, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – BAC Unknown, 2.) Reckless Driving, and 3.)Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test. The arrest was a result of Troopers responding to a wrong way driving on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Kortschinsky was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.
Disorderly Charge Warrant At 10:30 a.m. Feb. 5, troopers arrested Aaron Benvie, 28, of 15 George St., Apt. #3, Pawtucket, RI for an Affidavit & Arrest Warrant on the charge of Disorderly Conduct (2 Counts) originating out of the Central Falls Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Shalom Drive in the City of Warwick. Benvie was transported to the Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and later turned over to the Central Falls Police Department.
