WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests from May 18 through May 24 involved charges for domestic assault, DUI, stealing a vehicle and a Family Court warrant served.
Here are the details of those arrests:
Missed court, embezzlement charge On Thursday, May 21, at 10:50 p.m., troopers arrested Elaine Varone, 69, of 56 Maynard St., Apt. #2, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for a Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Arraignment on the original charge of Embezzlement over $100 originating out of the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.
The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and a subsequent residence check. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and transported to Adult Correctional Institution- Women’s Intake.
Exeter man arrested for disorderly conduct At 7 p.m. May 22, troopers arrested Anthony Williams, 59, of 155 Yawgoo Valley Road, Exeter, Rhode Island for Disorderly Conduct. Arrest was the result of troopers responding to 155 Yawgoo Valley Road, Exeter, Rhode Island for a disturbance. Mr. Williams was Misdemeanor released with a future Fourth District court date.
Warwick man arrested fro DUI in EG At 9:35 p.m. May 22, troopers arrested John Kalian, 56, of 366 Greenwood Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/ or Drugs- 1st Offense .15 or Greater, Phase I .191 Phase II .184.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 4 North in the Town of East Greenwich.
Kalian was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
Hit & Run arrest, Pawtucket At 1:20 a.m. May 23, troopers arrested Jairo Gutierrez, 28, of 14 Hedley Avenue Apt #2, Central Falls, Rhode Island for Duty to Stop-Accident Result Damage to Attended Vehicle.
The arrest was the result of Pawtucket Police contacting the barracks informing they were out with the suspect vehicle involved in a hit and run accident. The subject was misdemeanor released at the scene and provided a future Sixth Division District Court date.
DUI arrest, Providence At 3:16 a.m. May 23, troopers arrested Isaiah Sanches, 21, of 45 Fernandez Circle, Randolph, Massachusetts for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs- B.A.C Unknown- First Offense 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test- First Offense.
The arrest was a result of Troopers responding to a disabled motor vehicle on Rte. 95 North, in the City of Providence. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters where he was processed and held overnight pending arraignment.
