RI Trooper Log: DUI Arrests in Warwick, West Warwick

WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests Feb. 6 – Feb. 12  in and near Warwick involved two charges for  DUI.

Here are the details of those arrests:

Greenwich Avenue DUI arrest On Feb. 12, at 11:05 p.m., troopers arrested Clifford Moten, 41, of 13 Pleasant Court, Providence, Rhode Island for a Providence Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for a 32(F) Probation Violation on the original charge of Possession With Intent to Manufacture / Deliver a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance – First Offense originating out of the Providence Police Department on 12/29/2020.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Greenwich Avenue in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and later turned over to the ACI – Men’s Intake Center.

Grandview Drive DUI arrest At 1:25 a.m. Feb. 12, troopers arrested Eric Gorton, 38, of 28 Grandview Drive, West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs BAC Unknown- First Offense, and 2,) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test- Second Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cemetery Street, in the City of Providence. Gorton was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
