Warwick, RI – State Police activity in and involving Warwick this week involved stops and calls resulting in the arrest of individuals for illegal drug possession warrants, no contact order violations and one man arrested on a DUI charge after officers found his car stopped in the middle of Rte. 95.

Traffic stop nabs man wanted on drug possession warrant At 10:48 a.m. June 20, troopers arrested Nikolas Pereira, 24, of 1006 Old Baptist Road, North Kingstown, RI for Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the original charge of Possession of a Schedule I-V substance originating out of the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, and turned over to Providence Superior Court.

Rte. 95 stop collars man wanted for missing court At 2:20 a.m. June 20, troopers arrested Derek Lessa, 25, of 25 Mary Elizabeth Way, East Greenwich, Rhode Island on a Fourth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned, and released pending a future Third Division District Court date.

Stop on Jefferson ends in arrest on no contact order violation At 11:46 p.m. June 21, troopers arrested Stephen DiSanto, 19, of 43 Truman Road, Newport, Rhode Island, for violation of no contact order.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.

Stop on Jefferson ends in arrest on no contact order violation At 11:46 p.m. June 21, troopers arrested Michelle Ashook, 22, of 43 Truman Road, Newport, Rhode Island, for violation of no contact order.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.

Driver stopped in center of Rte. 95 arrested for DUI At 1:41a.m. June 22, Troopers arrested Robert Weber, 32, of 292 Providence St., West Warwick, Rhode Island, for Driving Under the Influence of Liquor or Drugs – 1st Offense/.15 or Greater (Phase I .247, Phase II .235).

The arrest was a result to Troopers discovering a vehicle stopped in the center lane of travel on Rte. 95 South in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third District Court.

Stop collars man wanted on family court warrant At 8:53 p.m. June 23, Troopers arrested Anthony Gonzalez, 31, of 47 Monticello St., Providence, Rhode Island, for a Family Court Bench Warrant Reciprocal Body Attachment.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, where he was processed and later transported to Adult Correctional Institution, Men’s Intake Center.

Woman arrested on warrant after Jefferson Blvd. traffic stop At 2:50 a.m. June 23, Troopers arrested Siobhan Varble, 52, of 130 Moore St., Providence, RI for an active Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on a Technical Violation on the original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance I-V, out of the State Police Lincoln Woods Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where she was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake.
