RI Trooper Log: Domestic Assault, DUI, Shoplifting

Editor’s note: The following RI arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests  April 20 through April 29 involved domestic assault, warrants for a suspended license and fraudulent license application, and DUI.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police arrests:

Domestic assault At 3:06 p.m. April 22, troopers arrested Kenneth Evers, 37, of 148 Heywood Road, Winslow, Maine on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for 1.) Domestic Simple Assault/Battery and 2.) Domestic Disorderly Conduct originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 6 in Providence. Evers was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Suspended license warrant On Wednesday, April 26, 6:04 a.m., troopers arrested Kristen Campbell, 39, of 89 Obadiah Avenue, Warwick, Rhode Island, on an affidavit and arrest warrant for Driving with a Suspended License – Third or Subsequent Offense originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Eddy Street, in Providence. Campbell was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and then turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

False license application warrant At 4:14 a.m. April 27, troopers arrested Robert Hassan, 36, of 6101 Post Road, Apt. # 31, North Kingstown, Rhode Island for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for False Statement to Fraudulently Obtain a License/Registration, originating out of Rhode Island State Police – Auto Theft / Insurance Fraud Unit.

The arrest followed the Warwick Police Department contacting the barracks advising that they had Hassan in custody. He was transported to State Police – Headquarters where he was processed then held pending morning arraignment.

Shoplifting warrant At 2:05 a.m. April 28, troopers arrested Oakley Therrien 27, of 3 Sparrow Drive, Westerly, Rhode Island on a 1.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Shoplifting originating out of the North Kingstown Police Department and 2.) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Dean Street in Providence. Therrien was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and turned over to the North Kingstown Police Department.

Rte. 95 DUI At 11:47 p.m. April 27, troopers arrested Michael C. Gibney, 42, of 184 Coolidge St., Swansea, MA for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs B.A.C Unknown- First Offense 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test-First Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Gibney was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
