Warwick, RI – Rhode Island State Police made several Warwick-related arrests this week on charges ranging from skipped court hearings, DUI and possession of crack cocaine.
Traffic stop ends in arrest for skipping DUI charge hearing: At 12:07 a.m. May 21, troopers arrested Courtney Sevigny, 26 of 31 Almy St., Providence, RI for a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to pay on the charge of Driving Under the Influence First Offense B.A.C Unknown originating from the Warwick Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Washington Street, in West Warwick. The subject was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed and later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
Driver arrested for DUI with outstanding shoplifting warrant At 9 p.m. May 22, troopers arrested Herbert J. Rhodes, 36, of 56 Canfield Ave., Warwick, R.I., for 1) Driving Under the Influence (BAC unknown), 2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, 3) Driving with a Suspended License and 4) a Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Felony Shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Pine Street in the City of Pawtucket. Rhodes was one of 13 people arrested for Driving While Intoxicated over the course of that weekend.
Driver stopped, arrested for skipping court on felony conspiracy charge At 11:12 p.m. May 25, troopers arrested Michael Tarver, 26, of 66 Fruithill Ave., Providence, RI for 1.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the charge of Felony Conspiracy originating from the Providence Police Department and 2.) Sixth Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Driving Under the Influence – First Offense originating from the Providence Police Department.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
Driver arrested for crack possession on Rte. 95 At 11:12 p.m. May 25, troopers arrested Bria Washington, 23, of 66 Fruithill Ave., Providence, RI for 1.) Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V (Crack Cocaine), 2.) Obstruction of a Police Officer in Execution of Duty, and 3.) Operating with a Suspended License.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. The subject was transported to State Police headquarters where she was processed and held overnight pending a morning arraignment.
