WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests May 27 – June 1  in and involving Warwick included charges of computer fraud, and a bail violator charged with multiple firearms and drug possession charges.

Here are the details of those arrests:

Computer fraud warrant On Thursday, May 27, at 6:44 p.m., troopers arrested Jadyn Patterson-Libby, 22, of 2108 Phillips Road, New Bedford, Massachusetts, on an affidavit and arrest warrant for Three (3) counts of Access to a Computer for Fraudulent Purposes originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Reservoir Avenue, in the City of Providence. Patterson-Libby was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, and then turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Bail violation on firearms, drug charges On Thursday, May 27, at 6:44 p.m., troopers arrested Justin Smith, 29, of 9 Standard Avenue, West Warwick, Rhode Island, on a Providence Superior Court bench warrant for 1.) Failure to appear for a bail violation hearing on the charge of Carrying a Firearm without a License originating out of the Providence Police Department, 2.) Failure to appear for a bail violation hearing on the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V originating out of the Providence Police Department, 3.) Failure to appear for a sentencing hearing on the charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V originating out of the Providence Police Department, 4.) Failure to appear for a sentencing hearing on the charge of Carrying a Firearm without a License originating out of the Providence Police Department, and 5.) Affidavit and arrest warrant for Three (3) counts of Access to a Computer for Fraudulent Purposes originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Reservoir Avenue, Providence. Smith was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, and then turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Missed court, suspended license charge On Friday, May 28, at 11:41 a.m., troopers arrested Jamie Gonzalez, 45, of 227 Carleton St., Providence, Rhode Island, on a Sixth Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for an ability to pay hearing on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the Rhode Island State Police Scituate Barracks.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard, in the City of Warwick. Gonzalez was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later turned over to Sixth Division District Court.

 

Marijuana possession At 6:31 p.m. May 31, troopers arrested Brenton Leach, 29, of 120 Harmony Court, Warwick, RI for Possession of Marijuana over 1 Oz – First Offense.

 

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 south in East Greenwich. Leach was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.
