WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests Aug. 18-25  concerning Warwick involved charges of DUI, cocaine possession and receiving stolen goods.

Here are the basics on those RI State Police arrests:

Missed court, driving without license On Friday, Aug. 18, at 11:03 p.m., troopers arrested Shajuanna Sumner, 25, of 58 Sears Ave., Providence, Rhode Island for a Sixth District Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving After Denial/Revocation of License originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Newark Street in the City of Providence. Sumner was processed and transported to the Adult Correctional Institute – Woman’s Intake Center.

Rte. 4, DUI arrest At 9:48 p.m. Aug. 19, troopers arrested Jeffrey Anderson, 28, of 16 Monk Road, Warwick, Rhode Island 02889 for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs -First Offense (Phase I: 0.153/ Phase II: 0.156 ).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 4 in the Town of East Greenwich. The subject was transported to Wickford Barracks, processed and arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Third District Court Date.

DUI, Rte. 4 stop At 9:48 p.m. Aug. 19, troopers arrested Jeffrey Anderson, 28, of 16 Monk Road, Warwick, Rhode Island 02889 for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs -First Offense (Phase I: 0.153/ Phase II: 0.156 ).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 4 in the Town of East Greenwich. The subject was transported to Wickford Barracks, processed and arraigned by the Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult with a future Third District Court Date.

Rte. 95 stop, cocaine possession At 10:53 a.m. Aug. 20, troopers arrested Miguel Lovo-Turcios, 23 of 6901 35th Avenue Woodside, New York for Possession of a Schedule I-V Controlled Substance – Under Ten Grams (Cocaine).

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 North in the City of Warwick. Mr. Lovo-Turcios was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned before a Justice of the Peace and then transported to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men’s Intake Center.

Receiving stolen goods On Aug. 20, members of the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Duane Atkinston, 57, of 14 Charles St., Bristol, Rhode Island, on a Third Division District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on an original charge of Receiving Stolen Goods by the Warwick Police Department. Atkinson was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Intake Service Center.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI At 12:23 a.m. Aug. 22, troopers arrested James Gabbidon, 49 of 88 Sandalwood Drive, Attleboro, Massachusetts for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs – BAC Unknown – 1st Offense and 2.) Refusal to Submit to Chemical Test – 1st Offense.

The arrest was a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Gabbidon was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Trespass, controlled substance On Aug. 22, the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Nicholas Church, 30, of 1445 Warwick Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Willful Trespass; and 2) Possession of a Controlled Substance
