WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests April 25 – April 30  in and involving Warwick spanned charges for child porn possession and transfer, larceny, and domestic B&E and assault.

Here are the details of those arrests:

Warrant arrest, larceny charge At 10:30 p.m. April 27, troopers arrested Dina Sousa, 49, of 11 Shippee Ave., West Warwick, RI on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for the charge of Larceny Under $1,500 from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Crawford Street in the City of West Warwick. Sousa was transported and turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Missed court: B&E, Domestic & Simple Assault On April 27, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Kenneth M. Gannon 44, of 5 Rita St., Warwick, Rhode Island, on the following: 1.) Kent County Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Determination of Attorney on an original charge of Breaking & Entering originating from the Warwick Police Department; 2.) Kent County District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on an original charge of Domestic Violence – Simple Assault originating from the Warwick Police Department; 3.) Kent County District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on an original charge of Larceny originating from the Warwick Police Department; and 4.) Kent County District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial Conference on an original charge of Simple Assault originating from the Warwick Police Department.

Gannon was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and turned over to Kent County Court officials.

Child Porn Possession, Transfer On April 30, 2021, at about 7 a.m., members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested James M. Knight, 47, of 75 Newfield St., Warwick, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Child Pornography; and 2) Transfer of Child Pornography.

Knight was arraigned in Third Division District Court before the Honorable Associate Judge Anthony Capraro and released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail with special conditions of no contact with children and limited internet access.
