WARWICK, RI —State Police arrestsin the RI Trooper Log between March 10 and March 14 in and involving Warwickincluded traffic stops and arrests for charges including casino cheating,fraud, driving a car without the owner’s consent and an immigration warrant.
Here are the details of thosearrests:
Casino cheating arrest On March 10, members of the GamingEnforcement Unit arrested Jacob Mitchell, 19, of 292 Chapmans Ave., Warwick,Rhode Island, on one count of Casino Gaming Cheating, Place, Increase, Decrease,or Remove a Wager.
Mitchell wasprocessed at the Wickford Barracks and held as a bail violator pending amorning arraignment in Second District Court.
Warrant check yields arrest for fraud At 9:30 p.m. March 11, troopers arrested
The arrest wasthe result of troopers conducting a warrant check at Potter’s home. Potter wastransported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, arraigned by a Justice ofthe Peace, and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’sIntake Center, pending morning arraignment at Third Division District Court.
Missed hearing on driving without owner’sconsent At 11:57 p.m.March 12, troopers arrested Shemar Cameron, 22, of 120 Robinson St.,Providence, Rhode Island on a Providence Superior Court Full Bench Warrant forFailure to Appear for Restitution Payment on the original charge of Drivingwithout consent of owner.
The arrest wasthe result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 South in Warwick. Cameron wastransported to the State Police Wickford barracks where he was processed and
Traffic stop ends with arrest onimmigration warrant At9:57 a.m. March 12, troopers arrested Jorge Genao – Cruz, 36, of 2 MarlboroughAve., Providence, Rhode Island, for 1) Obstructing officer in execution of duty2) Giving false documents to a public official and 3) Immigration Warrant.
This arrest wasthe result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Genao –Cruz was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and laterarraigned at Third District Court.
