RI Trooper Log: Assault, Stolen Pistol, Reckless Driving

WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests Oct 13. – Oct. 21 involving Warwick included charges for DUI,  assault, possession of a stolen pistol, reckless driving and a woman wanted in MA for vehicle theft.

Here are the basics on those arrests:

Wanted for assault On October 13, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Israel Rojas, 38, of 55 Judith St., Providence, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Superior Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment for Domestic Violence / Felony Assault originating from the Warwick Police Department; 2) Third District Court Warrant for Domestic Violence/Felony Assault originating from the Warwick Police Department; and 3) Sixth District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment for Obstruction originating from the Pawtucket Police Department.

Rojas was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and transported to the Kent County Superior Courthouse.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI At 12:06 a.m. Oct. 18, troopers arrested Eric Queenan, 35, of 10 State St., North Kingstown, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense BAC Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – 2nd Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Wanted, Reckless Driving, missed hearings At 5:19 a.m. Oct. 18, troopers and members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Matthew McGee, 32, of 228 Providence St., West Warwick, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant originating out of the Rhode Island State Police Wickford Barracks for 1.) Reckless Driving 2.) Obstruction of an Officer in the Execution of Duty 3.) Driving with Suspended/Revoked/Cancelled License – Certain Violations 2.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Violation Hearing on the original charge of First-Degree Robbery originating out of the West Warwick Police Department and 3.) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a barracks investigation and troopers subsequently locating the subject at his address. McGee was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending arraignment at Third District Court.

Wanted, vehicle theft On Monday, Oct. 18, at 10:51 p.m., troopers arrested Michelle Lee, 40, of 100 Transit Stt., Apt. #7, Warwick, Rhode Island, as a Fugitive from Justice from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the charge of Vehicle Theft originating out of the Attleboro Massachusetts Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 37 East, in Warwick. Lee was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight pending presentment/arraignment at the Third Division District Court.

Illegal carry, stolen pistol At 3:17 p.m. Oct. 19, troopers arrested Jada Rameriz, 20, of 3 Rebecca Row, North Reading, Massachusetts for 1.) License or Permit Required for carrying a Pistol and 2.) Possession of a Stolen Firearm.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 North in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.

Marijuana possession, intent to deliver At 3:17 p.m. Oct. 19, troopers arrested Marcus Mompoint, 21, of 11 Lantern Lane, Randolph, Massachusetts for 1.) Manufacturing Possession with Intent to Deliver Schedule I/II and 2.) Possession of Marijuana Greater than One (1) Ounce.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 North in Warwick. Mompoint was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment.

No contact order violation At 3:48 p.m. Oct. 20, troopers arrested Willie Perkins, 27, of 60 King St., Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Domestic Violation of No Contact Order – 3rd and Subsequent Offense 2.) Domestic Violation of No Contact Order – 1st Offense and 3.) Obstructing an Officer in Execution of Duty.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third District Court where he will be presented as a Bail Violator.

Missed court, disorderly, shoplifting On Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, at 12 p.m., troopers arrested Artayhia Towns, 39, of 29 Salmon St., Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Sixth Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference on the charge of Disorderly Conduct originating from the Providence Police Department, 2.) Kent County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference on the charge of Shoplifting – Second Offense originating from the Warwick Police Department, and 3.) Providence County Superior Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pre-arraignment conference on the charge of Fraudulently Obtaining Public Assistance originating from the Rhode Island State Police, according to the RI Trooper Log.

The arrest was the result of troopers responding to the Sixth Division District Court for the report of a subject in custody. Towns was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later turned over to Sixth Division District Court.

Providence stop, DUI On Thursday, Oct. 21, at 1:32 a.m., troopers arrested Dannielle Mellott, 24, of 144 Essex Road, Warwick, Rhode Island, for Driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs – Second Offense BAC .10-.15.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Orms Street, in the City of Providence. Mellott was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned and then released into the custody of a responsible adult.
