RI Trooper Log Arrests: Violation of No-Contact Order, Assault Warrant

WARWICK, RI — State Police reports in the RI Trooper Log in Warwick between Aug. 2 and 8 included an arrest for violating a no-contact order and a Providence man arrested after a stop on Interstate 95 in Warwick.

  • At 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 6, troopers arrested Raffaele Medici, age 55, of 309 Greenwich Ave., Apt. #C125, Warwick, for Violation of Family Court Protection Order. The arrest was the result of Troopers responding to Third District Court after Rhode Island Capitol Police contacted the Wickford Barracks. Medici was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Third District Court for arraignment. Judge Joseph P. Ippolito Jr. released Medici on $2,000 personal recognizance until a pretrial hearing scheduled for Aug. 20.
  • At 11:46 a.m. on Aug 7, troopers arrested Jose Espinal, age 44, of 80 Pomona Ave., Providence on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for the charge of Domestic Simple Assault originating from the Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 95 in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.
