Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI area arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI —  Arrests in the RI Trooper Log  this week in, nearby and involving Warwick were for offenses including a trio of shoplifting charges, child porn possession, missing court on various charges and assisting Warwick Police in apprehending a man wanted for a home break-in and double stabbing.

NKPD alerts Troopers to three shoplifting suspects At 10:43 a.m. Oct. 30, troopers arrested Christopher Varble, 31, of 155 Elmwood Ave., Providence, Rhode Island for 1) Shoplifting (Felony), 2) Conspiracy, 3.) Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle and 3) a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Possession of a Schedule I-V originating out of the Cranston Police Department.

Troopers also arrested Bill Mazzariello, 36, of 85 Briggs St., Apt. #1204, Cranston, Rhode Island for 1) Shoplifting (Felony) and 2) Conspiracy, 3) Habitual Offender – Shoplifting.

Troopers also arrested April Longtin, 35, with a last known address of 7 Maplewood Drive, East Greenwich, Rhode Island for 1) Shoplifting (Felony), 2) Habitual Offender – Shoplifting, 3) Conspiracy, 4) Willful Trespassing, 5) a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Technical violation on the original charge of Shoplifting originating out of the West Warwick Police Department and 6) a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Bail Violation on the original charge of Driving Without the Consent of the Owner originating out of the West Warwick Police Department.

Troopers also arrested Andre Biggs of 45 Hoods Street, Apt. #201, Fall River, Massachusetts for 1) Shoplifting (Felony) and 2) Conspiracy.

The arrests were the result of a “Be On the Look Out” from North Kingstown Police Department for a shoplifting suspect and troopers subsequently locating the suspect vehicle on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick.

ICAC Arrests Warwick Man on Child Porn Charge On Oct. 30, members of the ICAC Task Force arrested Peter Bourque, 32, of 311 Hardig Road, Apartment #A111, Warwick, RI for 1) Possession of Child Pornography, and 2) Transfer of Child Pornography. Bourque was arraigned at Third Division District Court before Magistrate O’Neill and held on $5,000 surety bail .

Troopers, WPD arrest break-in, stabbing suspect On Oct. 31, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Seamus Simcock, 36, of 400 Broadway Street Pawtucket RI on an Affidavit Arrest Warrants from the Warwick Police Department for 1) Domestic B&E 2) Domestic Assault with Deadly Weapon (knife), and 3) Assault with Deadly weapon (knife).

The arrest is a result of an investigation by the Violent Fugitive Task Force and Warwick Police Department. Mr. Simcock turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Troopers arrest man for missing court on possession, obtaining money falsely charges On Nov. 2, 2017, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Christopher Kidd, 35, of 35 Lake Street, Warwick, Rhode Island, on the following charges: 1) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on a Technical Violation for an original charge of Possession of Schedule I-V; 2) Washington County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on an original charge of Obtaining Money under False Pretenses; 3) Washington County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on a charge of Obtaining Money under False Pretenses.

Kidd was processed at the Barracks and turned over to officials at Kent Superior Court.

Troopers arrest man for missing court on domestic violence charges On Nov. 3, at 11:40 a.m., troopers arrested Robert Baker, 23, of 85 Lennon St., Apt. #2, Providence, Rhode Island for a 1) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Status Conference on the original charge of Domestic Violence- Disorderly Conduct originating out of the East Greenwich Police Department 2) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge of Domestic Violence- Disorderly Conduct originating out of the East Greenwich Police Department 3) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation Hearing on the original charge of Domestic Violence- Disorderly Conduct originating out of the North Kingstown Police Department and 4) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Driving With a Suspended/ Revoked License originating out of the East Greenwich Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. Baker was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men’s Intake.

Man arrested for missing court on drug possession charge On Nov. 4, 2017 at 2:50 a.m., troopers arrested Nicole Maglio 22, of 44 Auburn Drive Charlestown, Rhode Island for a Superior Court Bench warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the original charge of Possession of a Schedule I-V originating out of the Charlestown Police Department. This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick.

Maglio was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution – Women’s Intake.
