RI Trooper Log: Arrests for Obstructing Officer, Violating No-Contact Order

Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI area arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI —  Arrests in the RI Trooper Log between Nov.  and Nov. 23 in, nearby and involving Warwick were for offenses including for warrants on resisting arrest and obstruction of an officer, and of a man and a woman on charges of violating a no-contact order.

SK driver arrested on multiple warrants on Centerville Road At 9:30 a.m. Nov. 27, troopers arrested Cardoza Coston, 38, of 290 Church St., South Kingstown, Rhode Island, for: 1.) Obstructing a Police Officer in Execution of Duty; 2.) Resisting Arrest; 3.) Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Obstruction originating from the South Kingstown Police Department; and, 4.) Fourth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving on a Suspended License.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Centerville Road in Warwick. Coston was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and arraigned at Third District Court.

Warwick man arrested on warrant for violating no contact order At 1:42 p.m. Nov. 27, Troopers arrested Raymond Ellinwood, 47, of 303 Greenwich Ave., Apartment #A21, Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for Violation of a Protection Order originating from the Johnston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Ellinwood was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and turned over to the Johnston Police Department.

Woman arrested on warrant for no-contact order violation At 3:38 p.m. Nov. 27, troopers arrested Meghan Kennedy, 21, of 196 Obed Ave., North Providence, Rhode Island, for Violation of a No Contact Order.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Kennedy was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and held overnight at State Police Headquarters pending morning arraignment at Third District Court.
