WARWICK, RI —State Police Warwick area-related arrests in the RI Trooper Log between Feb. 17 and Feb. 20 stemmed from traffic stops, turning up charges and arrest warrants for car theft, missed hearings, drug possession and shoplifting.

Here are the available details of those arrests:

Troopers arrest man wanted on shoplifting, drug possession warrants At 5:06 p.m. Feb. 16, troopers arrested Richard Wilmot, age 34, of 26 Florida Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island, for 1.) Superior court bench warrant for technical violation on the charge of felony shoplifting out of the Coventry Police Department, 2.) Superior court bench warrant for technical violation on the charge of felony shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department, 3.) Superior court bench warrant for technical violation on the charge of felony shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department, 4.) Superior court bench warrant for technical violation on the charge of receiving stolen goods over $1,500 originating out of the West Warwick Police Department, 5.) Superior court bench warrant for technical violation on the charge of possession of a controlled substance – schedule I-V originating out of the Cranston Police Department, 6.) Sixth Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for ability to pay on the charge of driving with a suspended license originating out of the Warren Police Department, and 7.) Third Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for ability to pay on the charge of shoplifting originating out of the Coventry Police Department. This arrest was the result of a road walker on Route 95 in the City of Providence. Mr. Wilmot was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

Man arrested on warrant for car theft At 11:53 a.m. Feb. 17, troopers arrested Pedro Calel-Ramos, age 40, of 120 Wendell Street, Providence, Rhode Island for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in Warwick. Calel-Ramos was transported to SP Wickford where he was processed, special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released on bail.

Troopers arrest man wanted for missing court At 7:45 p.m. Feb. 17 troopers arrested Trevor Hedger, age 26, of 113 Archambault Avenue, West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1) Third District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical Violation Hearing on the charge of Failure to Stop for Accident originating out of the Wickford Barracks, and 2) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Disposition on the charge of Indecent Solicitation of a Child originating out of Woonsocket Police Department. The arrest was the result of Richmond Police Department requesting assistance in checking a road walker on Route 3. The subject was then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute – Men’s Intake.

Man arrested on warrant for obtaining money fraudulently At 3:22 p.m. Feb. 20, troopers arrested Mark S. St. Angelo, age 53, of 24 Douglas Street, West Warwick, Rhode Island, for a Washington County Superior Court Indictment on the charge of Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses Over $1,500. This arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation conducted by Trooper Pilling. St. Angelo responded to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing as a condition of his bail and was released.
