WARWICK, RI —State Police Warwick area-related arrests in the RI Trooper Log between Feb. 17 and Feb. 20 stemmed from traffic stops, turning up charges and arrest warrants for car theft, missed hearings, drug possession and shoplifting.

Troopers arrest man wantedon shoplifting, drug possession warrants At 5:06 p.m. Feb. 16, troopers arrestedRichard Wilmot, age 34, of 26 Florida Avenue, Cranston, Rhode Island, for 1.)Superior court bench warrant for technical violation on the charge of felonyshoplifting out of the Coventry Police Department, 2.) Superior court benchwarrant for technical violation on the charge of felony shoplifting originatingout of the Warwick Police Department, 3.) Superior court bench warrant fortechnical violation on the charge of felony shoplifting originating out of theWarwick Police Department, 4.) Superior court bench warrant for technicalviolation on the charge of receiving stolen goods over $1,500 originating outof the West Warwick Police Department, 5.) Superior court bench warrant fortechnical violation on the charge of possession of a controlled substance –

schedule I-V originating out of the Cranston Police Department, 6.) SixthDivision District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for ability to payon the charge of driving with a suspended license originating out of the WarrenPolice Department, and 7.) Third Division District Court bench warrant forfailure to appear for ability to pay on the charge of shoplifting originatingout of the Coventry Police Department. This arrest was the result of a roadwalker on Route 95 in the City of Providence. Mr. Wilmot was transported to theLincoln Woods Barracks, processed, and later transported to the AdultCorrectional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

Man arrested on warrant forcar theft At11:53 a.m. Feb. 17, troopers arrested Pedro Calel-Ramos, age 40, of 120 WendellStreet, Providence, Rhode Island for Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle. Thearrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in Warwick.Calel-Ramos was transported to SP Wickford where he was processed, specialarraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released on bail.

Troopersarrest man wanted for missing court At 7:45 p.m. Feb. 17 troopers arrested TrevorHedger, age 26, of 113 Archambault Avenue, West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1)

Third District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Technical ViolationHearing on the charge of Failure to Stop for Accident originating out of theWickford Barracks, and 2) Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failureto Appear for Disposition on the charge of Indecent Solicitation of a Childoriginating out of Woonsocket Police Department. The arrest was the result ofRichmond Police Department requesting assistance in checking a road walker onRoute 3. The subject was then turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute –Men’s Intake.

Manarrested on warrant for obtaining money fraudulently At 3:22p.m. Feb. 20, troopers arrested Mark S. St. Angelo, age 53, of 24 DouglasStreet, West Warwick, Rhode Island, for a Washington County Superior CourtIndictment on the charge of Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses Over $1,500.This arrest was the result of a Barracks investigation conducted by TrooperPilling. St. Angelo responded to the Hope Valley Barracks for processing as acondition of his bail and was released.
