Warwick, RI — Traffic stops accounted for several Warwick related arrests this week, including a man captured after fleeing a stop on foot, several court scofflaws and a Coventry woman wanted for larceny and banking law violations.

Traffic stop in West Warwick nabs Warwick court scofflaw At 1:41 a.m. Dec. 7, troopers arrested Damien Grubb, 24, of 1094 Toll Gate Road, Warwick, Rhode Island on a Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Toll Gate Road in West Warwick. Grubb was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Pawtucket man arrested for missing court on B&E, domestic On Dec. 7 at 11:15 p.m., troopers arrested Jason A. Curry, 29, of 183 Harrison St., Pawtucket, for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review out of Providence Superior Court for Breaking and Entering/ Dwelling/Person over 60/ Domestic, originating out of the Cumberland Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard at Motel 6, in Warwick. The subject was then transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and then released after posting cash bail.

Rte. 95 stop nabs man wanted on multiple warrants At 2:07 p.m., Dec. 9, troopers arrested Richardo Williams, 28, of 300 Smithfield Road, North Providence, RI, for: 1.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial on the charge of Leaving the Scene of an Accident out of Cranston Police Department 2.) Third District Court Bench warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre-Trial on the charge of Driving with Suspended License out of Cranston Police Department and 3.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear Ability to Pay on the charge of Driving with Suspended License out of Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in East Greenwich. Williams was taken to the Hope Valley barracks where he was processed then turned over to Third District Court.

Coventry traffic stop nabs man wanted on Warwick assault At 10:30 a.m. Dec. 9, troopers arrested Ken Blanchette, 43, of 277 Main St., Cranston, RI for a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment for the charge of Simple Assault originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest result of a motor vehicle stop on New London Turnpike Coventry. Blanchette was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and later transported to Third Division District Court.

Warwick man arrested after fleeing traffic stop, on foot On Dec. 8 at 3 p.m., troopers arrested Kevin Gonzalez, 34, of 230 Pettis Drive, Warwick, RI, for 1) Eluding 1st Offense 2) Obstruction 3) Operating on a Revoked License 4) Resisting Arrest 5) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant out of the Hope Valley Barracks for 1) Obstruction 2) Operating on a Revoked License.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop from which the subject fled on foot. Gonzalez was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed then held overnight pending morning arraignment.

Missed court on Domestic Assault, caught on Rte. 95 On Dec. 9 at 11:19 a.m., troopers arrested Paris Cooley, 20, of 222A Sterling St., Providence, Rhode Island for a Sixth District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Domestic Simple Assault originating from the Providence Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Cooley was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and later transported to Sixth District Court.

Traffic stop nabs woman wanted on larceny, bank law violation On Dec. 10, at 4 p.m., troopers arrested Chiara Varga, 24, of 51 Airport Road, Coventry, on an affidavit/ arrest warrant out of the Westerly Police Department for 1.) Violation of Banking Laws and 2.) Larceny.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop of Rte. 95 in Warwick. Varga was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed and later turned over to the Westerly Police Department.
