RI Trooper Log: Arrests for DUI, Stolen Car Parts Charge, Domestic Assault

Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI arrests were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

Warwick, RI — RI Trooper traffic stops accounted for a number of arrests in and affecting Warwick this week, including a driver stopped on Rte. 95 Feb. 18 and charged with DUI, a man facing a stolen car parts charge who failed to show in court and a man wanted on domestic violence charges.

Rte. 95 traffic stop yields DUI arrest At 1:30 a.m. Feb. 18, troopers stopped the vehicle driven by Michael Power, 28, of 46 Parkway Ave. on Rte. 95 north in Warwick,  after seeing the him traveling at a high rate of speed and drifting across all four lanes of travel.

Power displayed signs of impairment, and was transported to the Rhode Island State Police Wickford Barracks, where he refused to submit to a chemical test, was processed and charged with: 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxication Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense – B.A.C Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

Rte. 95 stop nabs man who missed stolen parts charge hearing At 7:08 a.m. Feb. 18, troopers arrested Amado Dominguez, 27 of 25 Mary St., Pawtucket for a Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentence Violation on the original charge of Possession of a Stolen Motor Vehicle or Parts out of the Central Falls Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks and transported to Superior Court for arraignment.

Bald Hill Road stop collars man wanted for domestic assault On Feb. 16 at 11:25 p.m., troopers arrested Briden Ellis, 22, of 131 Washington St., West Warwick Rhode Island, on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for 1.) Domestic Simple Assault, 2.) Domestic Vandalism/ Malicious Injury to Property and 3.) Domestic Disorderly out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in Warwick. Ellis was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, processed and turned over to the West Warwick Police Department.

Warwick man arrested for missing suspended license hearing On Feb. 17 at 1:32 a.m., troopers arrested Joseph St. Pierre, 29, of 83 Airway Road, Warwick, on a Third District Court Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License out of the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks, processed and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institute Men’s Intake.

Probation violator arrested on Jefferson Boulevard At 2:36 p.m. Feb. 16, troopers arrested Steven Finn, 51, of 1240 Delmar Lane, Naples Florida on a Newport Country Superior Court Bench Warrant for Violation of Probation 32F, on a charge originating out of the Newport Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Jefferson Boulevard in the City of Warwick. Finn was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute Men’s Intake Center.

MA drug charge fugitive arrested in Cranston At 3:02 p.m. Feb. 16, troopers arrested Thomas Maher, 37, of 628 Smith St., Providence, for 1.) Fugitive from Justice from the Attleboro, Massachusetts Police Department on the charge of Dangerous Drugs and 2.) Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Ability to Pay on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License, originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 10 in the City of Cranston. Maher was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, processed, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Robinson and subsequently turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center to await extradition.
