RI Trooper Log: Arrests for DUI, Sex Offender Registry Scofflaw, Protection Order Violation

WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests in and near Warwick from Nov. 17 through Nov. 22  included charges for DUI, protection order violations and failing to register as a sex offender.

Here are the available details of those arrests:

Highway stop, protection order violation At approximately 1:16 a.m. Nov. 20, troopers arrested Damion Ferguson, 37, of 490 Salem St., Bridgeport, Connecticut for Violation of a Protection Order.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 North, in Warwick. The subject was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks for processing and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third District Court.

Highway crash, unregistered sex offender At 4:30 p.m. Nov. 20, troopers arrested Anthony Fiandaca, 31, of 1792 New London Turnpike St., West Warwick, Rhode Island on a Kent County Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Sexual Offender Registration Failure to Notify, originating out of the West Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident on Rte. 95 in Warwick.

Fiandaca was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution- Men’s Intake Center.

Highway stop, no-contact order violation At 10:30 p.m. Nov. 20, Troopers arrested Joel L Kennedy, 31, of 22 Perkin St. Apt. #1, Providence, Rhode Island for Violation of No Contact Order and Driving Without A License- Third Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick.

Kennedy was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending morning arraignment at Third District Court where he would be presented as a probation violator.

Highway stop, DUI charge At 1:51 a.m. Nov. 21, troopers arrested Bryan Vargas, 27, of 36 Weaver St. Apartment #R West Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense BAC 0.10 – 0.15 (Phase I: 0.123, Phase II: 118).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick.

Vargas was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.

Providence stop, receiving stolen goods At 10:50 a.m. Nov. 21 troopers arrested Stanley Fortune, 24, of 721 Potters Ave., Apt. 3, Providence, Rhode Island on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Receiving Stolen Goods, Computer Access and Conspiracy out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Cranston Street in the City of Providence. Fortune was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks, process and turned over to Warwick Police Department

Highways stop, DUI charge At 1:30 a.m., Nov. 21 troopers arrested Brandon Cosmo, 31, of 196 Massachusetts Ave., Warwick, RI , for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor/Drugs (B.A.C Unknown) and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle Stop on Rte. 95 South in the city of Providence. Cosmo was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Highway stop, DUI charge At 10:59 p.m. Nov. 22, Troopers of the Traffic Safety Unit arrested Ryan Dubord, 29, of 63 Hope Street Providence, Rhode Island for 1) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs –First Offense / B.A.C. Unknown 2) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle accident on Rte. 95 North in the City of Warwick. Dubord was transported to Kent County Hospital where he was Misdemeanor released with a Third Division District Court Date to appear.
