WARWICK, RI — State Police arrests in the RI Trooper Log between Jan. 16 and Jan. 17 in and involving Warwick involved charges of DUI, violating a no contact order and indecent solicitation of a child.
Here are the details of those arrests:
Missed hearing on larceny charge At 2:59 p.m. Jan. 16, troopers arrested Wayne Burton, 52, of 1 Lubec St., Providence, Rhode Island, on a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Presentment as a Violator on the charge of Larceny from a Person originating from the Providence Police Department. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick.
Burton was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later transported to Superior Court.
Missed hearing on suspended license charge At 4:30 p.m. Jan. 16, troopers arrested Stephanie Henriksen, 35, of 4050 Post Road, Apartment #1, Warwick, Rhode Island, on a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating from the Wickford Barracks.
The arrest was the result of an investigation. Henriksen was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Women’s Intake Center.
Troopers arrest man on violating no-contact order charge At 5:30 p.m. Jan. 16, troopers arrested Paul Souza, 38, of 4050 Post Road, Apt. #1, Warwick, Rhode Island, on a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on a Technical Violation on the charge of Violation of No Contact Order – Third Offense originating from the Coventry Police Department and a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear on a Technical Violation on the charge of Domestic / Simple Assault- Third Offense originating from the Coventry Police Department.
The arrest was the result of an investigation. Souza was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
Troopers arrest man on assault charge On Jan. 16, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Sixto Reyes, 38, of 20 Jefferson Boulevard, Warwick, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Affidavit/Arrest Warrant out of the Providence Police Department for Domestic Aggravated Assault, Weapon; and 2) Superior Court Bench Warrant for 32F Violation of Suspended Sentence on an original charge of Felony Assault.
Reyes was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and turned over to Providence Police.
Troopers make DUI arrest on Rte. 95 At 2:28 a.m. Jan. 17, troopers arrested a Rhode Island woman, for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs / First Offense – B.A.C. Unknown and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. The woman was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released to a responsible adult.
Missed hearing on suspended license charge At 10:09 a.m. Jan. 17, troopers arrested Selena Moore, 24 of 192 Archambault Ave., West Warwick, Rhode Island for an active Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating from the Coventry Police Department.
The arrest was the result of Troopers conducting a residence check for the subject. Moore was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed, and turned over to Third District Court for Arraignment.
DUI arrest At 9:45 p.m. Jan. 17, troopers arrested Elvira Lizasoain, 47, of 69 2nd Street Rear 2, East Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs 1st Offense – BAC Unknown and 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.
The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop of Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to Kent County Hospital for evaluation and later transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where she was processed, arraigned and released to a responsible adult.
Missed court on illegal drug charge At 1 p.m. Jan. 17, troopers arrested Melody Lea Pierce, 37, of 7 Holt Street, Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on the original charge of Shoplifting originating out of the Warwick Police Department, and 2.) Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pre Arraignment Conference on the original charge of Schedule I to IV originating out of the Burrillville Police Department.
The arrest was the result of troopers conducting a warrant check of 7 Holt Street and subsequently taking the subject into custody. The subject was transport to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed and later turned over to Superior Court.
Troopers arrest man on indecent solicitation of a child On Jan. 17, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Almerio Larguinha, 52, of 71 Wells Avenue, Basement Apt., Warwick, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Indecent Solicitation of a Child; 2) Electronically Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor; and 3) Possession of Methamphetamine.
Larguinha was arraigned in Third Division District Court before the Honorable Magistrate Ippolito and held on $25,000 surety bail with special bail conditions of limited internet access and no contact with minors.
