RI Trooper Log: Arrests for Domestic Assault, Receiving Fraudulent Assistance

Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI area arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests in and near Warwick from Oct. 23 through Oct. 25 included charges for domestic assault and vandalism, felony domestic assault and fraudulent receipt of assistance.

Here are the available details of those arrests:

Domestic Assault, vandalism At 1:48 a.m. Oct. 24, troopers arrested Jaaron Andrade, 22, of 903 Providence Place Apt. 206, Providence, on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant from the Providence Police Department for Domestic Simple Assault, Failure to Relinquish Telephone, and Domestic Vandalism.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Elmwood Avenue in the City of Warwick. The subject was processed at the Wickford Barracks and later turned over to the Providence Police Department.

Felony Domestic Assault On Oct. 24, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested David Stridle, 30, of 1445 Warwick Ave. (Apt #31), Warwick, Rhode Island, on the following Warrants: 1.) Warwick Police Department for Felony Domestic Assault; and 2.) Providence Superior for Failure to Appear for Arraignment on an original charge of Domestic Assault.

Stridle was processed and turned over to Warwick Police.

Sending Indecent Material to Minor On Oct. 24, 2019, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Christopher M. Rocheleau, age 50, of 78 Esmond Street, West Warwick, Rhode Island, for three (3) counts of Electronically Disseminating Indecent Material to a Minor and a Parole Board Violation Warrant for original charges of Murder and Robbery.

Rocheleau was held at State Police Headquarters pending an arraignment in Third Division District Court.

Receiving Fraudulent Assistance On Friday, Oct. 25, at 9:30 a.m., members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Amanda Testa, 25, of 98 Mystic Drive, Warwick, Rhode Island for 1.) Fraudulently Obtaining Assistance, 2.) Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses and 3.) Giving False Documents to an Agent, Employee or Public Official.

Testa was processed at State Police Headquarters then transported to the Sixth Division District Court where she was presented for arraignment. Testa was released from court with bail set at $3,000 personal recognizance.
