RI Trooper Log: Arrests for Cocaine Possession, Soliciting A Child

Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI area arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests in Warwick between Aug. 9 and Aug. 14 included charges for cocaine possession, a Warwick Police-issued warrant, and indecent solicitation of a child.

Here are the available details of those arrests:

Highway stop, cocaine arrest At 8:30 a.m. Aug. 12 Trooper arrested Alexander Bourque, age 26, of 34 Weaver Street, Apt. F, West Warwick, RI for Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I-V (Cocaine).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the Town of West Greenwich. Mr. Bourque was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace then released.

Post road stop, illegal drug possession At 12 p.m. Aug. 13, troopers arrested Tasia M. Jordan, 27, of 145 River Ave., Providence, Rhode Island, for Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II. Schedule II drugs include oxycodone, opium, and morphine. State Police did not specify which substance she was charged with possessing.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Post Road in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released.

Providence stop, Warwick warrant On Aug. 14 at 3:48 a.m., troopers arrested Jose Lopez Rivera, 29, of 88 Sisson St., Providence, Rhode Island, for 1.) Affidavit and arrest warrant for domestic malicious damage originating out of the Warwick Police Department; and 2.) Affidavit and arrest warrant for domestic disorderly conduct originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Wilson Street, in the City of Providence. Lopez Rivera was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, and later turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Toll Gate Road Stop, illegal drug possession At 8:55 a.m. Aug. 14, troopers arrested Edward M. Moone, 32, of 203 Grand Ave. Apt. B, Providence, Rhode Island, for Possession of a Controlled Substance – Schedule II. Schedule II drugs include oxycodone, opium, and morphine. State Police did not specify which substance she was charged with possessing.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Toll Gate Road in Warwick.

Moone was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later arraigned at Third Division District Court.

Indecent solicitation of child On Aug. 14, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Richard Manchester, 60, of 72 Deerfield Drive, Warwick, Rhode Island, for Indecent Solicitation of a Child (2 counts).

Manchester was held overnight at State Police Headquarters pending an arraignment in Third Division District Court on Aug. 15, 2019.
