WARWICK, RI — RI Trooper Log arrests in and near Warwick from Nov. 29 through Dec. 8  included charges of raping a child, child porn possession and transfer, obtaining money under false pretenses, DUI, and hit and run.

Here are the available details of those arrests:

MA warrant for child rape On Dec. 3, members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Philip Paquette, 59, of 857 Greenwich Ave. (Apartment #1), Warwick, Rhode Island, as a Fugitive from Justice from the State of Massachusetts on an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant drafted by the Oxford Massachusetts Police Department for Sexual Assault-Rape of a Child.

Paquette was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and transported to Sixth Division District Court for arraignment as a Fugitive from Justice.

Missed court, suspended license charge At 11:06 p.m., Dec. 5 troopers arrested Andre Savage, 42, of 21 Miner St., Warwick, Rhode Island, on a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial for the charge of Driving with a Suspended License originating from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 117 in Warwick. Savage was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.

Rte. 95 stop, DUI arrest At 1:15 a.m. Dec. 6, troopers arrested Brian Raimbeault, 33, of 255 Kenyon Ave., East Greenwich, Rhode Island, for: 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs- 1st Offense / B.A.C. Unknown; 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test; and 3.) Reckless Driving.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Raimbeault was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Child porn possession, transfer charges On Dec. 5, 2019, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Nathan Plante, 23, of 23 Phillips Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of Child Pornography; and 2) Transfer of Child Pornography.

Plante was arraigned in Third Division District Court before the Honorable Associate Judge Bucci and held on $5,000.00 surety bail with special bail conditions of no contact with minors and limited internet use.

Obtaining money under false pretenses On Dec. 6, members of the Financial Crimes Unit arrested Erick Adorno, 38, of 42 Covington Drive, Warwick for Obtaining Money Under False Pretenses over $1,500.

The arrest was the result of a complaint filed by the Rhode Island Department of Labor & Training Fraud Unit.

Adorno surrendered to members of the Financial Crimes Unit at State Police Headquarters where he was processed. He was then presented for arraignment at Third Division District Court and released on $5,000.00 personal recognizance bail.

Failure to stop after crash warrant At 11:30 p.m. Dec. 6, troopers arrested Ashley Lackey, 24, of 40 Western Promenade, Cranston, Rhode Island, on a Third Division District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation for Failure to Stop for an Accident originating from the North Kingstown Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Bald Hill Road in Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later transported to the Adult Correctional Institution Women’s Intake Center.

Crash, DUI arrest At 12 a.m. Dec. 7, troopers arrested Richard Fournier, 28, of 36 Cedar Pond Drive, Warwick, Rhode Island for Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense/ B.A.C. .15/Greater.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle crash investigation on Rte 95 in Warwick. Fournier was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Rte. 95 traffic stop, DUI arrest At 12:50 a.m. Dec. 7, troopers arrested Fernando Knowles, 24, of 29 Cowesett Ave., Apt. 4, West Warwick, Rhode Island, for: 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs- First Offense/ B.A.C. Unknown; 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test; 3.) Obstructing a Police Officer; and 4.) Driving with a Suspended License- Third/ Subsequent Offense.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Knowles was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Erratic driver report, DUI arrest At 9:36 a.m. Dec. 8, troopers arrested Wendy Mapel, 43, of 438 Wauregan Road, Danielson, Connecticut, for: 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs-1st Offense/ B.A.C. Unknown; 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test; and 3.) Duty to Stop in Accident Resulting in Damage to Attended Vehicle.

The arrest was the result of a call to the barracks in reference to an erratic operator and subsequent motor vehicle accident investigation which occurred on Rte. 95 North in the City of Warwick. Mapel was processed at the Wickford Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Failed to appear on suspended license charge At 10:30 p.m. Dec. 8, troopers arrested Christopher Forrest, 45, of 37 Malloy St., Providence, Rhode Island for: Sixth District Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Pretrial Conference, for the original charge of Driving with Suspended/ Revoked License from the Pawtucket Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on the Airport Connector in the City of Warwick. The subject was processed at the Wickford Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and later released.
