WARWICK, RI —State Police arrests in the RI Trooper Log between Jan. 18 and Jan. 21 in and involving Warwick involved charges of assault and drug possession.

Here are the details of those arrests:

Missed court on illegal drug possession charge At 11:45 a.m. Jan. 18, troopers arrested Joshua Zagroski, 25, of 4 Cardosi St., Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for arraignment on the Original Charge of Possession of Schedule I-V Originating Out of the Warwick Police Department. 

The arrest was the result of members of the US Naval Police Department contacting the barracks and advising that they had the subject in custody.

Traffic stop nabs man wanted for assault At 8:45 p.m. Jan. 21, troopers arrested Jason Vescera, 38, of 69 Steele Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant for an Assault charge originating from the Middletown Police Department. 

The arrest was the result of motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and turned over to the Middletown Police Department.
