RI Trooper Log: Arrests for DUI, Shoplifting, Firearms Possession

Warwick, RI – State Police activity in and involving Warwick this week involved stops and calls resulting in the arrest of individuals for DUI, shoplifting and illegal possession of firearms.

Calls lead troopers to DUI arrest At 3:44 p.m. June 15, troopers arrested Isaiah Rathbone, 35, of 18 Wood St., Warren, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 2nd Offense B.A.C. Unknown, 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test, 2nd Offense and 3.) Disorderly Conduct.

The arrest was the result of multiple 911 calls for an erratic operator and subsequent motor vehicle stop on Route 295 North in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and held overnight to be taken to 3rd Division Court as a bail violator.

Troopers arrest man wanted on Family Court warrant On Tuesday, June 13, at 9:05 a.m., troopers arrested John Dowding, 35, of 331 Main Ave., Warwick, Rhode Island, on a Family Court reciprocal body attachment. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95, in the City of Warwick.

Dowding was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, and later turned over to the Family Court.

Troopers arrest man for no contact violation At 10 a.m. June 15, troopers arrested Joshua Negron Pena, 21, of 728 Pine St., Central Falls, RI, on an Affidavit Arrest Warrant out of the Central Falls Police Department on the charge of Violation of a No Contact Order.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick. The subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, and later turned over to the Central Falls Police Department.

Traffic stop ends in DUI arrest At 12:40 a.m. June 16, troopers arrested Joshua Dyer, 33, of 9 Katherine Road, Rehoboth, MA, for DUI/ 1st Offense BAC .15/Greater (Phase I .153, Phase II .157).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick. Subject was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace, and released into the custody of a responsible adult.

Troopers nab man wanted for shoplifting At 12:54 a.m. June 16, troopers arrested Kevin Cruz, 20, of 102 Dixon St., Unit 13, Providence, RI, for an active Third District Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Payment Review on the original charge of Misdemeanor Shoplifting from the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Broad Street, in the City of Providence. Subject was transported to the Lincoln Woods Barracks where he was processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution.

Troopers arrest man on Family Court warrant At 9:59 a.m. June 16, troopers arrested Michael, 58, of 14 Humes St., Providence, RI for a Family Court Domestic Body Attachment for Failure to Appear for Non-Support.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Post Road in the City of Warwick.

Traffic stop ends in DUI arrest At 12:10 AM June 16, Troopers arrested Amanda Pollard, age 28, of 689 Weeden Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense/ B.A.C. Greater than .15 (Phase I: 0.177, Phase II: 0.182).

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick.

Traffic stop ends in arrest for firearms possession At 3 a.m., Troopers arrested Jhogel Florentino, age 23, of 50 Lillian Avenue, Providence, Rhode Island for 1.) Possession of a Firearm Without a License or Permit Required to Carry and 2.) Driving with a Suspended License- Third Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 95 in the City of Warwick.
