Editor’s note: The following Warwick, RI area arrests recorded in the RI Trooper Log were reported by the RI State Police on their website. An arrest reflects charges against an individual, and does not indicate guilt or innocence.

WARWICK, RI —  Arrests in the RI Trooper Log between Nov. 13 and Nov. 19 in, nearby and involving Warwick were for offenses including DUI, cocaine and methamphetamine possession, and an outstanding warrant for shoplifting.

Woman arrested on Rte. 95 for cocaine, amphetamine possession At 11:48 p.m. Nov. 14, Troopers arrested Jenny Christensen, 40, of 1 Winchek Pond Ext., Hopkinton, RI, for: 1.) Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II (Cocaine); 2.) Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule II (Amphetamine); and 3.) Driving While in Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Christensen was transported to the Wickford Barracks processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released.

Traffic stop yields arrest on shoplifting warrant At 12:57 a.m. Nov. 18, troopers arrested Alicia Pina, 32, of 174 Salina Street Providence, RI for an Affidavit / Arrest Warrant originating out of the Warwick Police Department on the original charge of Shoplifting.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 6 in the City of Providence. Pina was transported to Headquarters, processed, and was later placed into the custody of the Warwick Police.

Traffic stop ends with DUI arrest At 1:40 a.m. Nov. 19, troopers arrested Jason Thornton, 43 of 15 Bell Forest Drive, Hope Valley, RI for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 1st Offense – BAC .10-.15 (Phase I – .144) (Phase II – .137)

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in Warwick. Thornton was transported to the Wickford Barracks where he was processed and held overnight pending arraignment by a Justice of the Peace.
