RI Trooper Arrests: Larceny, B&E, Narcotics Possession

WARWICK, RI — RI State Police arrests this week included warrants served for charges including larceny, breaking and entering and narcotics possession.

Troopers arrest Providence man wanted in Warwick At 3:51 p.m. Aug. 9, troopers arrested Michael Shaw, 33, 160 Broad St., Providence, RI for a Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on a Technical Violation on the original charge of Larceny and Grand Theft Larceny over $1,500 originating out of the Warwick Police Department.

This arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Academy Avenue in Providence. The subject was transported to State Police Headquarters, processed, and transported to the Adult Correctional Institute.

Traffic stop in Warwick yields arrest on B&E, narcotics warrants At 9:40 a.m. Aug. 10, troopers arrested Joseph Brown, 35, of 1532 Grove St., Apt. 3, Woonsocket, RI, for: 1.) Providence Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for a Technical Violation on the original charge of Possession of Schedule I-V Control originating from the Woonsocket Police Department; and, 2.) Providence Superior Court Full Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Restitution Review on the original charge of Breaking and Entering a Dwelling originating from the Woonsocket Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Post Road in the City of Warwick. Brown was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and turned over to Providence Superior Court.

East Avenue stop ends with warrant arrest At 7:35 p.m. Aug. 11, troopers arrested Brandon Levasseur, 29, of 389 Glen Wood Ave., Pawtucket, Rhode Island, for a Family Court Bench Warrant Reciprocal Body Attachment-Non Support.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on East Avenue in the City of Warwick. Levasseur was transported to the Wickford Barracks for processing and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institution Men’s Intake Center.
