WARWICK, RI — RI State Police arrests last week included charges of DUI, simple assault and larceny, many the result of traffic stops throughout the state.

Rte. 6 traffic stop yields arrest on assault warrant On Sept. 10 at 3:03 p.m., troopers arrested Jorge Orsini, 44, of 182 Ophelia St., Providence, Rhode Island for an Affidavit and Arrest Warrant for Simple Assault out of the Warwick Police Department.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 6 in the Town of Johnston. The subject was transported to Headquarters for processing and later turned over to the Warwick Police Department.

Traffic stop yields arrest on larceny charge warrant At 2:10 a.m., Sept. 13, troopers arrested Anousack Boungnaseng, 30, of 70 Sackett St., Providence, RI for 1.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Sentencing on Technical Violation on the original charge of Larceny Greater than $1,500 originating out of the Providence Police Department and 2.) Providence Superior Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for Cost Review on the original charge of Possession of Controlled Substance Schedule I-V.

The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Rte. 95 in the City of Warwick.

Airport Road crash leads to DUI arrest At 11:23 p.m., Sept. 14 Troopers arrested Meagan Freeman, 27, of 2236 Cranston St., Cranston, RI for 1.) Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicating Liquor and/or Drugs – 2nd Offense B.A.C Unknown 2.) Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – 2nd Offense.

The arrest was the result of troopers responding to an accident on Airport Road in the City of Warwick.

Freeman was transported to the Wickford Barracks where she was processed, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to the custody of a responsible adult.
