Police Seek Help Finding Hit & Run Driver Who Seriously Injured Pedestrian

WARWICK, RI — Warwick Police are asking the public’s help in identifying the driver of a gray Acura sedan that struck a pedestrian at 840 Post Road near Walmart Wednesday at 8:55 p.m., seriously injuring the man before driving away without stopping.

The victim was transported to RI Hospital for treatment of serious bodily injuries, according to Warwick Police. The Warwick Police Department Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the accident.

Evidence recovered by the reconstruction team points to the suspect’s vehicle being a gray 2014-2018 Acura RLX sedan.The vehicle will have damage to the side-view mirror and front end.

The Warwick Police Department is imploring the operator of the vehicle to turn themselves into the WPD Traffic Unit as soon as possible.

Police also asked any person or witnesses with information related to the accident to contact the Department Traffic Division at 401-468-4293, and ask for Sgt. John Kelly.
