Warwick, RI — Headlining this week’s calendar is an up-close and personal meeting with one of Rhode Island’s up-and-coming business leaders on April 10.

Whether you’re just starting in business or have been at it for a long time, chances are you’ll learn something from Fred Magnanimi, creative director of Luca + Stella jewelry company.

From his background as an investment banker to the very personal reasons he decided to start his new venture, Fred will be sharing his story at Alpine Country Club starting with registration at 11:45 a.m. on April 10.

‘Lend Me a Tenor’ at OST:

The latest production at Ocean State Theatre, Lend Me a Tenor, continues its run this week, with shows continuing Thursday, April 9, at 2 and 7:30 p.m., and 2 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday.

Set at the Cleveland Grand Opera Company, Lend Me a Tenor features an unconscious Italian opera star, and unlikely hero, and lots of laughs.

Online tickets are $34/$44/$49. Through April 19.

Friday, April 10, 2015:

Bring Your Own Improv at WMOA, 7 p.m.

The creative folks at Bring Your Own Improv set up at Warwick Museum of Art in Apponaug every Friday night, with a youth show starting at 7, then they play blue [meaning adult content, people] at 8.

Tickets are $8 for ages 13-64 and $4 for under 12. Free parking.

Described as a “legendary pianist, composer, producer and eternal romantic,” Jim Brikman is due to visit the Barnes & Noble Booksellers store on Rte. 2 starting at 11 a.m. for a CD and book signing.
